    I actually wish we were pushing. Would like a 10.7 100m safety that is physical. Utah does a great job with evals.

    Nil makes it a lot easier to skip the baseball draft. I assume he gets a cut of football nil and baseball since he is duel sport. He can go to college and obtain good nil. He can assess which sport works out best for him in college. This gives him optionality.

    We just came off of a conf championship, playoff appearance and incredible draft. We are now entering a the SEC and will play in incredible environments. Culture on the team is great and UT and Austin offers great academics, and a great city. Not sure what else is going to convince him. Ohio St can check off the box on many of the same areas, although Columbus is not Austin. However, USC has a a lot of questions. The problem is we don’t know the true motivator behind his decision. How much does NIL play a factor and what are NIL opportunities at Ohio St and USC vs Texas.

    The reality is NIl is a major component in a lot of the super blue recruitments. It has become a lot less about the school, the coaches etc. We have good NIL, but schools like Ohio State and Oregon have shown they will pay above what other schools are paying.

    Worked out well when we turned down Andrew Luck to sign Garret Gilbert in the next class. There are no guarantees. Sign the best guys this year and worry about next year… next year.

    The trajectory of the program under sark is way up and to the right in year 3 and 4. Under Herman it was going down given the terrible culture he created.

    Head in the sand! He’s going to start to lose a lot of the goodwill he gained with the Clemson fanbase with the national championships.

    I think the challenge is almost every weekend there is a conflict. That is why he had most of he top targets visit the weekend of 4/6. You have district meets, regionals, state. They the high school evaluation process starts where coaches can go on the road. I am pretty sure Sark has thoroughly thought through this.
