Thus, the last weekend for official visits is 21st-23rd weekend in June. That explains why I haven’t seen any visits for the weekend of June 28-30.

    Every fast wr is not Brennan Thompson. We’ve had a small sample size to conclude this is the path Sark will always take. We also had some deficiencies at hs wr recruiting that created some gaps. K Johnson has some elite traits. B Thompson is fast, but was small and doesn’t have natural hands. Most of his hs clips showed he was a body catcher and not a natural wr. You take a chance on a guy like that because of his speed. However, they don’t always pan out. Not every wr transfer has panned out either.

    Gerry, Did UT have other coaches or Sark staying in contact with the DL recruits while we had an opening, and while Baker got settled in. I’m always amazed at how many guys mention calls with Sark and how involved he personally is with recruiting given his time demands. Do you feel like we still have a good opportunity to win some of these DL recruitments? Have we build a strong enough relationship with Sark and other coaches to help us while Baker plays catch-up in the relationship building?

    Watched the video on ESPN this morning and I was in tears. I started to follow UT as a kid in the late 70’s/early 80’s when McMichael played at UT and followed him in the pros.

    I believe he was referring to next year. Most SEC schools have top line interior DL talent with several future draft picks. You could say that about our 2023 team, but not 2024. Perhaps Bledsoe and some guys come through, but there are a lot of questions. Not just on 24, but 25 since we have not stscked talent in the DL like most all other positions.

    Given Sark visited Sanders seems like he is high on the board. Is it possible that Baker visited him during his swing through Houston.
