  2. I’ve read some schools are telling him they will give him a shot to play rb and db.
  3. Impressive BGO in the video. His arm length and pass rushing instincts also stand out.
  4. I used to buy Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle and Austin Am Statesman the day after signing day to get a view from across the state. I remember when newspapers actually broke commitment news. The days of calling Jerry Scarborough 1-900 number and the NRA (national recruiting advisor) for recruiting info are way behind us.
  5. Kirby runs the defense. Won’t have an impact.
  6. Will be interesting to see if it still works with tech and aggy both in playoffs this year and both have a lot of NIL backing. Tech and Aggie early commits include top 20 instate guys we met with this week and are trying to get visits from Brewster (dl), Redmond (dl), DeMarrion Johnson (OT), Snell (S). Others that we’ve offered and committed to OU, A&M and Tech include: Keldrid Ben (rb), Benny Easter (wr), Kaden McCarty (edge). I know Sark likes to play the long game and continue with evals. We’ll see if it works this year.
  7. Grandfather played at UT if I’m not mistaken. If there is one criticism of this staff it’s we get so far behind on underclassman. It will be interesting to see if we can make up on some of the 2027 guys already committed to schools like A&M and Tech. I think these schools know to come out hard when the players are young because Texas isn’t very aggressive until the spring of their recruits JR year.
  8. Easter looks pretty good on film. Extremely productive the last 2 years.
  9. Gerry, do you expect any visitors this weekend?
  10. Mendoza was a special player at qb and they lose a lot of players. Indiana will be good, but would bet against a repeat.
  11. Very sad tragedy. Prayers to the family. The Arnold’s had been very generous to UT, UT athletics and to the Houston community.

  13. Name is on the stadium scoreboard. Very big athletic donors.
  14. My backyard in Georgetown
  15. My Daughter, who is Sr at UT, sent from UT tower this morning

  17. So Indiana has 2 JR starting guards (one from Austin westlake) and they signed the guard from Wisconsin.
  18. Mysterious guard could be playing in a game next week
  19. Doesn’t seem like wake forest would sign off portal entry if they had him under contract.
  20. He was a backup guard. Didn’t play much for Michigan.
  21. First Seaton isn’t in portal yet, so that is not a fact. Second, it’s no guarantee we get the guy even if he goes into portal. Brooks is one of few young lineman that had upside to be a future multi year starter and NFL player. Yes, he struggled as a true freshman playing a position he never played. We still need more OL for next year and we just lost a guy that could have competed for a starting role or could have been a key backup in 26 and started going forward.
  22. Bobby posted he has not officially entered yet
  23. And a multi year contract.
  24. Really good question. Will be interesting to see how changes impact team.
  25. Any word on whether he signed and canceled Miami visit?
