  1. thanks for the info, CJ it's gonna be pretty wild, then things will ramp up again close to December Luckily, we're playing with house money at this point. We are loaded, and have a really good prospect committed for the 2026 at DE. DT...we are playing with house money again. January and Hills, 2 or 3 last year depending on how you classify them, and we have 3 DTs committed already for the 2026 cycle. Other teams are shooting their wads in an effort to "match" us. This all works in our favor in the long run.
  2. We'll see soon enough. If Nick Brooks is as good as implied from some folks, then the urgency for Ojo isn't quite what it was starting the year. Of course we still want him, but if we lose out, it's not the disaster it would have been before.
  3. yep...but all kidding aside, Trey Owens is a stubbed toe away from QB1. I wish we all could see SOME video of him from the upcoming fall "camp." He's big, great mechanics, decent mobility, and has a strong arm to say the least. If Sark didn't think he was good enough to keep, then he would have processed him. That didn't happen.
  4. I'm just here to laugh at the trolls and Negative Nancies.
  5. it's not this board, it's trolls and Negative Nancies.
  6. hilarious...same Einsteins that wanted The Texas Flood to be fired in November of 2021 are the same ones posting chicken little posts now. They will disappear soon when we get who we wanted.
  7. and there was Adrian Peterson, and some guy named Earl
  8. That's certainly possible, but he's a 2026. Does beg the question of who there will be for 2027, though. And I have no idea at all who that may be.
  9. Elite recruits who think like that end up not getting recruited by the top programs. If they want a fast path, then they can go to San Diego State.
  10. "brining?"...are we preparing him? lol
  11. Yes sir, you are correct amundo. And we continue to ignore Westlake even though we have 2 DEs and a really good safety (not offered) from there. We stomped a mudhole in that "talented" NS team last year. Is ANYONE from Westlake even being recruited? Of course not. Just the "talented" NS. Scottie...beam me up
  12. Perry Mason...5 star lawyer...lol
  13. Anyone following Sark recruiting since he got here would be more surprised if there were NOT these type of visits at this point. don't be surprised when there are more that have not been revealed at this point when following Sark, expect the unexpected HOOKEM
  14. no...that's old news...we're way past that one now...lol
  15. wow...never heard of him until this week and now he's a possible committ...TODAY???? whoa
  16. LFG...Sark don't FA...let's get this show on the road...by the time I look on the board again, there will be more "news"...awesome news...especially if it's QB related...
  17. so who was the "hi?"...lol great call, Gerry
  18. hmmmm...I don't know...usually you play the first 40 games to get yourself in position to make a run...we just didn't make the improvements you need to make once we got there. And the truth is that we had a nasty habit of striking out 10+ times in games...on a regular basis. That's just a sign of a lack of talent, even though it can certainly be argued that most teams out there were LESS talented. We had a FEW guys, Bleyeu, for instance, with some talent that has a chance to go on to MLB in the future. We'll see from here what he does. I'm sure there will be better days ahead, but it will be a while before we see that.
  19. we're certainly not out of it yet, but the truth of the matter is that we regularly SO 10+/game...as if we're facing Nolan Ryan every game. And, of course, the other truth is that you should never underestimate the incompetence of your opponent. Hang in there and let the chips fall where they may. HOOKEM
  20. not with THAT kind of NIL...IMO this one sticks for at least 1 year
  21. oh, well...Gerry was just saying how some of these NIL deals seem to happen outta nowhere fast
  22. Let's reel him in along with Okpala (sp?)...that would be pretty strong
