  1. Casualty of NIL. Paid before he accomplished anything. So he ended up not accomplishing anything. Sad. You hate to see it, but predictable. Not Sydir specifically, but NIL recipients as a group.
  2. NFL type throw...and who is Jamar Denson?
  3. It sucks that we lost, but the players are NOT quitters, so they will be fine. If anything, losing a close game on the road first game of the season shows you a lot about what your strengths and weaknesses are. Strengths: OL better than practice reports...FAR better. Baxter not great, but way better than expected considering his injury. Wingo looked good, physical, fast...every bit as good as Smith. Wisner looked good. Defense was lights out good. I was hoping for a big splash play resulting in a game changing turnover from AntHill, but it never materialized. Guilbeau was our weak point but even he had a good game all things considered. January and Watson were much better than any practice reports led us to believe. LaFau was good all day. CS didn't have his best game, but his competition was very good, so expected. Burke looks good. Weaknesses: Arch missed that first throw and it seemed to affect him after that. His body language and facial expressions were very negative, but at the end he had some step in his step. Not enough misdirection compared to what we've seen from Sark the first 4 years. On the bright side, these threads bring out the quitters and trolls. We may not see you after the 4th game of the year.
  4. What? Is there a game today or something? lol
  5. I'm shocked. Shocked to see that gambling is going on in here!
  6. I'll put in my prediction AFTER the game. lol
  7. August 39 is always my favorite day of the year
  8. Good for him. I wish him well. Would be great for him to have a year where he doesn't get tackled too much and maybe he can mature into the athlete he needs to be in order to play in the NFL.
  9. In golf we take one swing at a time. When it's finished, THEN we have a score. Until then, nothing is accomplished. One step at a time, then AFTER it's all done, take stock in what you've done. If you get ahead of your skis, you will crash. HOOKEM
  10. I don't think the NFL gives a damn about Heisman or natty when evaluating QBs. I think it's just the Mannings want to take the pressure off of Arch for now...at least as much as possible...and then we'll see what happens after that. Injury free and I think our chances of a natty go WAY UP!
  11. OK, but we already have problems with heat exhaustion
  12. we're playing with house money here, so it doesn't matter...I'd like him, but we're loaded and we're only going to get MORE loaded HOOKEM
  13. Hold the phone. You COULD end up being right, but take it from someone who was told he would die 3 years ago: it ain't over til it's over. God intervenes when it suits HIM and that's that. Baxter is too good an athlete to give up. I suspect that he will recover as long he hangs in there. JMO
  14. He's a tough little guy. He'll be ok. But I'll say a prayer for him anyways.
  15. This is Sark recruiting. He insists on just the best of the best. Of course, he could be proven wrong, but he does as he sees fit for the program.
  16. 13 int's from the LB position is fantastic...not many LBs with 13 int's!
  17. As American celebrity hero as it gets. Sad day for all involved.
  18. Amazing recruiting by the Sark staff. We were playing with house money, so if we DIDN'T get the flip, we still had a stellar DT haul. Future years we may not have to go to the portal AT ALL...for a while, anyways Funny how the trolls and Negative Nancies are NOT on this thread! lol
  19. I would have liked to have him, but we have so much young talent at TE that we just couldn't go all in...at THIS point. I think he's TE all the way. Similar to what Charles Barkley would have been as a football player. Strong, athletic and explosive. IMO not a OL unless he has a Tony Hills type of injury.
  20. Add in some comedy. Show your predictions, and then what REALLY happened. Include posters as well.
  21. according to windy.com there's still some significant rainfall in Kerrville and surrounding areas...in fact, here in Cedar Park off and on Windy: Radar+
  22. No surprise at all. Sark doesn't just offer to get an acceptance. He offers who he thinks has the potential to be a contributing factor in a run for a natty.
  23. People are dying in Kerrville, so Kaydon can do whatever he wants. Stay safe folks, and stay away from the Gonzalez area...it's going to get hit, too God bless
