  1. Wow...Kaden is an excellent athlete in his own right. And that's freshman film, so we can watch him develop. Their parents should have had more kids! lol
  2. Fast twitch athlete who has made tremedous improvement over his soph year. This recruitment is going to be crazy. Basically, he can everything and how good he becomes is how good does he WANT to be? I like him for sure. I know many posters disgree with me, but that's my limited assessment based on film provided and nothing else.
  3. It was an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions. And I was wrong. Although I didn't write my expectations, internally I thought Arch would be MUCH MUCH better than he is. He has the tools there, but just can't seem to see things in real time once the lights come on. The season may not be over, but beating OU seems like a stretch. Our only chance there would be that all of OU's players break their ribs laughing when they watch the tape. It's obvious that Brooks is over-rated now, even if he does have potential. Potential just means you haven't done it yet. Ringo has a nasty habit of dropping passes that hit him in the hands. The stats mean nothing. Anyone watching the game from Mars and knows nothing about football didn't need to see a final score to know we got beat like a red-headed stepchild. Even the body language was bad. And I don't mean late in the game. I mean to START the game. Where was the fire. The excitement?
  4. Well I was wrong. Not just about the score, but about who this team is. No running backs. Brooks manhandled. Baker off and on. Arch is NOT all that. Heisman? hahahahahaha Body language was bad even early in the first quarter. This ain't good. Right now I'm not sure I can watch another game. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but that's my thought process now. If these players don't care, then why should the fans care? They got their NIL and mailed it in.
  5. 38-14...Manning shows his stuff. This offense may not be as dead as you think.
  6. I think so as well, barring injury, of course...but it would be nice to have him another year...unless he's a soph and we have him one more year anyways, of course
  7. Casualty of NIL. Paid before he accomplished anything. So he ended up not accomplishing anything. Sad. You hate to see it, but predictable. Not Sydir specifically, but NIL recipients as a group.
  8. NFL type throw...and who is Jamar Denson?
  9. It sucks that we lost, but the players are NOT quitters, so they will be fine. If anything, losing a close game on the road first game of the season shows you a lot about what your strengths and weaknesses are. Strengths: OL better than practice reports...FAR better. Baxter not great, but way better than expected considering his injury. Wingo looked good, physical, fast...every bit as good as Smith. Wisner looked good. Defense was lights out good. I was hoping for a big splash play resulting in a game changing turnover from AntHill, but it never materialized. Guilbeau was our weak point but even he had a good game all things considered. January and Watson were much better than any practice reports led us to believe. LaFau was good all day. CS didn't have his best game, but his competition was very good, so expected. Burke looks good. Weaknesses: Arch missed that first throw and it seemed to affect him after that. His body language and facial expressions were very negative, but at the end he had some step in his step. Not enough misdirection compared to what we've seen from Sark the first 4 years. On the bright side, these threads bring out the quitters and trolls. We may not see you after the 4th game of the year.
  10. What? Is there a game today or something? lol
  11. I'm shocked. Shocked to see that gambling is going on in here!
  12. I'll put in my prediction AFTER the game. lol
  13. August 39 is always my favorite day of the year
  14. Good for him. I wish him well. Would be great for him to have a year where he doesn't get tackled too much and maybe he can mature into the athlete he needs to be in order to play in the NFL.
  15. In golf we take one swing at a time. When it's finished, THEN we have a score. Until then, nothing is accomplished. One step at a time, then AFTER it's all done, take stock in what you've done. If you get ahead of your skis, you will crash. HOOKEM
  16. I don't think the NFL gives a damn about Heisman or natty when evaluating QBs. I think it's just the Mannings want to take the pressure off of Arch for now...at least as much as possible...and then we'll see what happens after that. Injury free and I think our chances of a natty go WAY UP!
  17. OK, but we already have problems with heat exhaustion
  18. we're playing with house money here, so it doesn't matter...I'd like him, but we're loaded and we're only going to get MORE loaded HOOKEM
  19. Hold the phone. You COULD end up being right, but take it from someone who was told he would die 3 years ago: it ain't over til it's over. God intervenes when it suits HIM and that's that. Baxter is too good an athlete to give up. I suspect that he will recover as long he hangs in there. JMO
  20. He's a tough little guy. He'll be ok. But I'll say a prayer for him anyways.
  21. This is Sark recruiting. He insists on just the best of the best. Of course, he could be proven wrong, but he does as he sees fit for the program.
  22. 13 int's from the LB position is fantastic...not many LBs with 13 int's!
  23. As American celebrity hero as it gets. Sad day for all involved.
