Let them battle for a mid QB that can't really play QB. He's elusive and can run... everything else he's a very average QB that could get eaten alive in the SEC. He's also dealing with a very, very serious injury that will sideline him the whole spring.

I don't fully agree with the statement that the OL improved as the year went on. They improved marginally. What really improved is the scheme and Arch. As for last year I think the OL was overrated because of the competition we played. Can Flood coach the hell out of tackles? Hell yes. I have zero doubts in him having the RT and obviously the LT spots figured out. My concerns remain at the guard spots. I'll trust the staff, but I would have question if the only two guys we bring in are the Sikorski kid and the Bennett kid.

In the scenario where he enters the portal I don't see him coming to Texas unless we lose Wingo.

No offense to Flood and the staff but that's not my problem... they recruited the guys they recruited... they decided to go after those Michigan OLs and it backfired... it's on them if the OL continues to be a problem. I have faith in Texas, they've done nothing but proving that they deserve faith. Still, I would have big question marks IF the only guy after the Oregon St kid that we get at OL is the Tackle from Yale. I would reserve my judgement... but I would have question marks going into next season.

Thought the same thing... feel like Brooks at 6'8 or 6'9 is better at tackle than guard but OTF seems convinced that he'd compete for a guard spot 🤷‍♂️

Think it's more like sark is an incredible play designer and having guys all over the field with specific traits helps him create cheat codes in the offense... Also, like @Gerry Hamiltonsaid, in this new era of the portal you gotta pivot QUICKLY. Once we couldn't get Baugh and the michigan OLs I think Sark just said screw it, we're gonna put so much speed on the field and so many mismatches that you're not gonna able to just load the box and stop the run/pressure Arch cause if you do you're gonna get burned. Remember that all offensive guys do is try and create explosive plays, while all that defensive guys do is try and limit explosive plays... good luck blitizing Arch or loading the box when you have horizontal threats at all levels... from the RBs to the WRs now that Wingo has a Coleman... defenses are gonna have to choose on who to focus on... is it gonna be the vertical threat of Coleman or the horizontal threat of Wingo? Good luck to them.

1-2 OL? So if Bennett committs that could be it? No offense to those guys but a Yale Tackle and a depth piece at Guard from Oregon State doesn't sound like rebuilding the OL from a terrible, TERRIBLE year. It better be 2 with one being a surefire starter, not just a guy that's gonna compete for the job. Don't want to sound like I'm complaining but after all the success we've had in the portal it would be comical to waste all of it because of another year of lackluster OL play. I like the Yale tackle and the Oregon State guy... we need one guy that's gonna come in and be the starter. Whether it's at RT or LG or RG I don't care.

Arch is 100% gonna be the most highly regarded NFL prospect next year, which means a lot of scouts will pay extra attention to Coleman (Not that they weren't going to watch him, just extra attention). A great year and Coleman could go from a top 20 prospect to a top 5 prospect, playing at Texas would help him do that while building his brand. Still, I don't know how much coleman is taking QBs in account in making his decision

Could end up next year with Brown and Smothers which would be a very lethal combo. My personal worry is that they're similar backs... OTF said we still might go after a big back, but not much else to know after that; - Biles, the LB from Pitt, is visiting this weekend - OTF said Texas was/is working on getting more guys on campus but unsure if they were able to

I get where you're coming from and I agree... but let's not act like Bama doesn't have a great scheme for WRs and that more than likely they're gonna have a capable QB one way or the other... They're also really dang close to home, which maybe is important to him... The NIL offer is gonna be pretty good too
