    Due for a crappy game. Hopefully we have some fireworks left. Schloss has pressed the right button most of the season but a couple head scratchers tonight. Leaving Burns in there for the top of the order after he was getting squared up on every pitch the inning before.

    It’s more about the attention defenses give him even when he’s not scoring. Swain is a rare defender. 6-8 and fluid with long arms and great at navigating screens and traffic. Will be a game scouts will pay attention to come draft time for Tre.

    Xavier is a tough matchup because theoretically they can guard Tre 1on1 with an NBA defender (Swain). If that matchup is held at a stalemate it’s going to be very tough for our offense to score.

    It’s a very weak bubble and we have a better resume than most of the other bubble teams. But the committee will probably put the Tar Heels in over us with terrible justification when we all know it’s because they’re UNC. Granted this team doesn’t really deserve it but neither do the other bubble teams.

    Dayum. And just checked how our one HS recruit is doing. Seems like he’s only played 7 games and averages 3pts and 3 rebs per game.

    I really loved the 2011 bball team. That BS 4 second call vs. Zona which followed with an “and-1” was heartbreaking.

    Screw SEC championships or sweet 16 appearances, the standard for the new coach should be understanding how to break a press.

    Yeah just a really poor start both times. I could see how he clocked 4.25ish in training but not consistent enough.

    Yeah. I think 335 is too big for him and hurt those numbers. Should be around 315-320.

    Don’t know how to tell you this but Julian Larry is not good. He’s a last man on the bench on contending teams.

    Larry isn’t a starting PG in the SEC. The big men have been trash but that’s also on RT. Just because we didn’t have enough money for Toppin doesn’t mean we didn’t have enough money for other solid bigs. “we didn’t have enough money for Toppin” has been a rallying cry for RT stans to confuse people into thinking we are poor. We have above average NIL money and a below average team. Terrible asset allocation.

    Even if we are 7th in NIL in the SEC (which btw is a number being passed around as fact when it was a somewhat educated guess by Chip Brown) we are underperforming. We should be sitting around 8-9 wins in the SEC and a top 25 ranking. We are nowhere close to that. Now assume we got JT Toppin at his price tag which would probably jump us to top 2/3 in SEC NIL. Would we be a top 2/3 team with Toppin? Hell no. We’d still have zero functional point guards.
