    The fact of the matter is Texas has a plenty good resume but not in the areas the committee values. Will have to adjust accordingly after Ohio St and Michigan home games.

    So let me get this straight. Texas has losses to the 2 best teams in the country. Teams no one has been able to beat. So they have to go perfect the rest of the way to have a chance? They play 3 more top 10 teams and get wins in dominant fashion in all 3. An early season loss at Florida is the only true blemish. This team is not even under consideration. Absolute joke.

    Texas getting no mention is crazy. Georgia is going to be #2 and Ohio St is going to be #1. You're telling me a team with losses to 1 and 2 and 3 other top 10 wins isnt worthy of discussion??

    Imagine going 6-1 down the stretch with 3 top 10 wins and only losing to THIS Georgia team on the ROAD AT NIGHT and being left out of the playoff because you lost to the #1 team in the country by 7 ON THE ROAD in the first game of the season.

    This probably means Bama is in no matter what, but...if they get a 3rd loss and they are left out, it would only be for another SEC team IMO. Sankey would burn it all to the ground if the SEC runner up was left out for the 3rd place ACC team.

    Can anyone explain to me how Miami gets help from BYU winning (a universally accepted fact by the media), but teams Texas actually played looking like world beaters doesnt help Texas or at the very least warrant a comment???

    If the committee followed their own standards, with BYU out of the picture, it is clear Texas is the best and most deserving resume compared to Miami and ND. Yet we get 0 mention on any discussion.

    We've moved into position behind BYU in odds...the one in keeping an eye on is Notre Dame. Texas has a great argument to be in over notre dame and that would send the biggest message to not schedule cupcakes

    I don't disagree with you saying thats the reason. I think thats probably their rationale as well. I'm just critiquing that rationale as hypocritical given where Alabama is ranked and the supposed "criteria" they set for themselves.

    I dont recall that being primary criteria for the committee. There are teams ahead of Texas (Alabama) where that is not the case. Head to head and strength of schedule are the primary criteria by which they are supposed to grade.
