@Bobby Burton let's get him on coffee & football

But we have to accept they'll never grade SOS properly. So I agree with you somewhat, but at the same time, I'd rather Texas have a shot last year vs getting screwed by whoever is on the committee and/or media narratives. Let it play out on the field.

You wouldn't have wanted to see Texas get a shot at the playoff last year in a year where Miami got hot and nearly ran the table after barely squeaking in?

You're right. Until Texas wins by 30+ every week and exceeds the Saban era at Alabama, there's no reason to ever be happy or optimistic.

I don't doubt they are playoff worthy but they simply haven't been tested in the same way. I think the 24 team playoff lets it play out on the field vs relying on a committee which is a positive in a sport with vast scheduling differences.

This year you will see several 9-3 teams with much better resumes miss out on the playoffs. Indiana will be 11-1 with 0 ranked wins UCLA will be 12-0 with a backup QB with 1 "ranked" win over Oregon 17-15 In a 12 team playoff, weak schedules matter too much for how the committee ranks teams. In my opinion, a 9-3 Texas or 9-3 LSU should be in over an 11-1 Indiana if you compare the resumes honestly. In a 24 team playoff, you get to see that actually play out on the field vs leaving it to a committee.

Have you considered even if there are open receivers it's not the offense arch is apt to run and make decisions in? Come on now

This is an unfair characterization in my opinion. If a QB who has shown the ability to play at an elite level is now "7th grade level", I'd argue he's being put in the wrong positions regardless of how it looks on tape. Watch the tape from 2024 and end of 2025. There's a great player in there.

Reminds me of before the Miss St game last year. The sports media is pretty unbearable and I think they contribute a lot to it.

I was there at Florida in great seats. Was told to sit down by those behind me several times. Didn't get going until end of the 4th quarter. To be fair, wasn't much to be excited about especially after OU the week prior. It's time to move on though and I think fans need to bring it tomorrow more than they did last week.

This is the right message. I get being frustrated for a bit but the constant negativity and whining is getting old.

Best of the year no doubt

No doubt. Just compare the UTSA tape from both years.

He made several starts. It wasn't mop up duty.

O Line absolutely needs a share of the blame too

Agreed. It's gotta be coaching. I'm not confident if you put 2026 Arch in the same spots in 2024 he looks half as good. That's a tragedy from a development perspective.

Watching Arch highlights from 2024 and it's a legitimately different player. Mechanics, execution, confidence, etc. What happened? Did the pressure break him and/or is this an indictment on Sark? Worth a watch. It's staggering - https://youtu.be/eMxDPBsVouA?si=5dYH9zf3rieEGfS8

Injury report underscores the importance of playing a clean game for Texas. Texas can't lose if they play a clean game and that becomes more clear with the injuries.

31-3 Texas. OU kicks a FG in garbage time to break up the shutout

Bob Ballou has Texas 4th (worst among all voters) and Indiana first. Come on now

I feel like I've seen more outrage over this than players (many of whom are currently playing in the NFL) who have been convicted of actual violent crimes.
  22. cdibbs
Right on. Too many fans act like they have to be part of the team and "not get distracted"

    Marcel Reed looks awful
