  1. With it looking like we'll be down one or both of Matas & Traore, you might as well pencil in Cam Boozer for 30 points & 20 rebs. Swain will not be able to handle him down low especially with any rim protection.
  2. They really need to scrap it. Any time I see Spencer Shannon jump offsides, hold or straight whiff on a block I wonder why we even bother considering we use him as a 6th olineman instead of like an actual tight end. I'd be willing to bet every dollar that I own that Alabama's LT has more targets than Shannon. Having him out there effectively turns it to a 9 vs 11 game when we're on offense.
  3. While this might be true it was still mind blowing that yesterday's win over OU was Kiffin's first road win over a ranked opponent. As much as we rag on Sark he's done that just about every year he's been here.
  4. Nope. I've got a brother that works as an academic advisor with a high D1 program. One of the unsaid things is that now that there is this huge financial investment through lucrative NIL packages, them failing a class and becoming ineligible while making $1M+ is simply not an option. I don't believe since NIL became a thing do I remember any athlete being declared academically ineligible. Technically, I guess its possible but those academic advisors would probably be fired if one of their athletes failed a class and became ineligible so in that sense I'm not sure that it is possible anymore.
  5. I feel like and Mike McDaniel are the only guys (probably Kyle Shanahan) that Sark would ever hand the reigns to and none of those guys are ever coming here to be an OC so here we are.
  6. I'm trying to be in this boat too but I don’t know if I've ever experienced a season where so many wins felt like losses due to abysmal performances but I guess I have to look at Clemson, Penn St & Florida St and be thankful.
  7. Thanks!! I was having a serious case of deja vu.
  8. I don't know why but I thought I read this exact news a couple months ago.
  9. I believe Mason Shipley handled those on the two games Stone missed.
  10. He's why I was so confused why everyone was so high on Arizona St coming into the year. Yeah, their coach is cool and Leavitt escaped a few sacks but Skatebo was everything fir them last year, especially in our game.
  11. Hopefully we finally get to see it but I'm not sure I've seen a consistent offensive system from Texas that didn't make me want to scratch my eyes out since Penders. Sure, there was a year or two here and there with Barnes ('03, '07, '08, '11) where it looked decent but largely through Barnes, Smart, Beard & Terry it has all been really bad compared to the rest of cbb.
  12. Don't they always pass the eye test? Has there been years where you've seen them in a similar setting and said "this is going to be a long year"??
  13. According to the ESPN app, the Florida game on 10/4 will be at 2:30pm. We catch a break avoiding a night game in the Swamp.

  14. Getting athletes with size like Etute, Abii, Sitaya Fagan and Olivia Vukosa would go a long way in allowing us to really compete with the South Carolinas and UConns of the world.
  15. Who was the DB? I remember losing Quinn & Burrows but don't recall a DB.
  16. Should help that Spaight is an AAU teammate of newest commit Amalia Holguin.
  17. It's looking closer to he who shall not be named unfortunately.
  18. Sellers or no Sellers...SC wasn't beating Vandy. SC, like us, hasn't looked good all year and needed some special teams magic to pull away from Virginia Tech in Atlanta. The very next week, Vandy rolls into Blacksburg and easily destroys Va Tech in front of their home crowd. Transitive properties don't always work out simple but sometimes they do. If we were playing Vandy next week, I don't think I would feel very confident in predicting a Texas win.
  19. We don't have Notre Dame's Oline or a Jeremiyah Love on our roster.
  20. This was something I noticed last year and was the one thing I was worried about regarding Arch coming into the year. So many Texas fans took that skill that Quinn displayed effortlessly for granted and just assumed we'd keep that and add Arch's deep ball & mobility.
  21. Obviously, its on the coaches to keep the talent flowing on both sides of the ball. Brooks was great when healthy but he wasn't the same type of back that Bijan & Roschon were especially in the red zone. Jamaal Charles was one of the best RBs to ever lace them up but I don't believe he'd help our red zone issue the way a Cody Johnson could.
  22. I don't disagree but we've had some game-changing injuries on the offensive end. How does the '23 team fare vs Washington with a healthy Jonathan Brooks, Xavier Worthy & Keilan Robinson? We beat them and that Michigan team wasn't exactly built to take advantage of our weak link (the secondary). How does last year's game vs Ohio St play out if Texas has a healthy CJ Baxter, Matthew Golden & Isaiah Bond? We probably should've also played Goosby over Williams at RT. Most knew going into that game that the winner of that game was most likely your national champion. We've been excruciatingly close to hoisting NC trophies the last 2 years. Not 2008-09 close but pretty dang close nonetheless.
  23. The answer is very clear, '21-'22 had Bijan & Rojo while '23-'24 did not.
  24. Clark & Simon. Looking for more explosivity from the RB position.
