  1. He should be a better qb at this point. He's a 5th year player while Nico really was in his 2nd year starting. Nico qb'd a playoff team.... with not a great system for qb's, or great O line play. Recievers weren't all that hot either. Yeah, the tactics are questionable.. but that's who you signed.. and that's the premise you signed him on, tryna flex like Tennessee was BIG NIL DADDY.... 🤷🏿‍♂️#FAFO
  2. He can't go to a school in conference per SEC rules, right?
  3. This will be the new norm, because college athletes are now getting paid. Quinn was the first to leave high school early and take an NIL deal, and now how many early entries do we have in the spring, that should either be high school juniors or seniors right now? The game has changed. No longer is every kid so in love with the university that they'll turn a blind eye to green money. Plus, we only know what the media is telling us about the situation. There's two sides to every story. Maybe they promised some things that didn't come to fruition. You don't know.
  4. Was is right for Duke to send Malik packing after a 9 win season at Duke, and then pay a kid 8 million for two years to take his spot? When it's the organization making the call, there's no outrage. When it's the player over the organization, you don't hear any push back.
  5. NFL GM's are aware that they will be in such situations. They get out ahead of it early and sign guys to deals before there forced to.. like Jerry was. It's par for the course, you guys just clutch your pearls because it's college football, and this has been nowhere near the norm. Now... you're opinion is he wasn't worthy of what he was able to negotiate, but remove him off that roster... and go thru this season after he lead that team and university to the CFBP.. 🤷🏿‍♂️. They made a lot of money off that 🍑 kicking they took in Columbus. Just saying...🤷🏿‍♂️. This is an example of who and what you believe in coming back to bite you in the 🍑. Capitalism.. at its finest. At least in college football terms.. Amerikkka is finally "great again"... just not for who you're used to it being great for... 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏿‍♂️🤘🏿
  6. I totally understand where you're coming from. The thing is, we aren't privy to the absolutes, only what's being portrayed.. and the establishment always has the ability to speak from a position of power. I know don't see Nico as "that guy"... but where would Tennessee and Heupul be without him?
  7. The price of milk has gone up. I saw Nico taking major hits and coming back to play. They made the cfpb. He's a premium player at a premium position. Crazy how we want a starter out of the portal.. but we kill a kid that might go into the portal. In a capitalism crazed society like America, it's funny to see you guys try to judge whose worthy of getting more money and tryna determine when they should go after it. Think NIL is destroying college football? It's about to get a lot worse. These kids understand the game and how the universities have been getting over on them, and they don't have any brakes when it comes to mashing the gas and getting everything they deserve and then some. When you date a girl and start off tricking...spending money to impress her, don't think a year from now she'll be ok with McDonald's. You gotta keep her living a 5 star life. Get what you pay for!
  8. If he'd committed to Texas and was on the 40, he damn sure wouldn't be on The Pivot before he made any plays. He wouldn't have committed to a coach that excoriated another coach he was jealous of, pointing out that Coach Prime and his players only do it for the "clicks"...and therefore, there would be no need for this post. I would probably be talking about how he was going to explode in this offense with Arch. The only place we may have seen him would've been on 3rd and Longhorn. But.. guess what, he did... and that's why you and I are here. Nice chat...🤘🏿
  9. Typo with observation..my bad
  10. EXACTLY 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏿
  11. I expect him to be great... it's set up for him to be such. But.. what if he goes down in spring ball with a major injury and doesn't see the field in 2025? How will that Pivot appearance sit in the eyes of the same media he was trying to impress? Isaiah Neyor was about to be the NEXT guy here... until he got hurt in the spring. We never saw that guy everyone raved about in the spring. This is the point, amongst others, I'm making. Hard workers don't go do National media when they haven't produced one yard yet. Arch and his family were lauded for doing so. 🤷🏿‍♂️🤘🏿
  12. It wasn't an effort to "wind you up"... that's a you issue. I merely made an observed and kept receipts of Dan Lanning and his disparaging comments about Coach Prime and his coaching strategies. It seems like he's ok with players getting clicks now. Talent over culture... that was the tenor of the post, but you missed it. Reading is fundamental, but common sense isn't very common, either. 🤘🏿
  13. So... you would be OK with Anthony Hill Jr coming in as a freshman and going on a National media tour before he saw one college down, but saying he came here to play football and not for clicks or just what UT could do for him... without providing any returns to the university yet?
  14. We all did... but time reveals all. Everybody here loved Johntay Cook too... and I'm one of the few that still does. I still follow him and encourage him to realize his potential. How many of you still give a damn? It doesn't "trump" anything..honestly. It just says we avoided a wreck instead of cleaning one up. We dated... but after courting for a few months.. we got dumped and found out it was a blessing. Happens...🤘🏿
  15. Yes... and I'll tell you why. This entire team was welcoming...as evident by the number of family members there. He had every reason to choose to be here... he didn't. What he's displaying doesn't line up with anything you've seen from any Longhorn on our roster. Things happen for a reason... like Gerry always says, and I don't think those reasons change, on either side, in less than a year. It's more about who he is and what we are, at this point.
  16. I agree..but in his limited action... he's flashed enough. In this market..somebody will pay. We paid for Lole..and he earned his keep. It can happen. Most of the kids that left in the portal made waves. Look at Isaiah at Neb... Crawford at Nevada... and the guys over at Arizona St.
  17. Since he can't go to Oklahoma because it would be an in conference transfer... my bet would be a Big 12 school. Kid doesn't wanna fo far from home..obviously from his first go round with recruiting.
  18. Maybe not Nibbs because he's getting some run... but yeah..the others..definitely. I could also see Colton Vasek leaving.. no way they're considering another edge without something being awry. Where there's 💨... there's 🔥.🤘🏿
  19. So.... I've stated here a few times that when we lost out on D.K. Moore... initially, I like many, was devastated. Then I quickly reevaluated the situation and the job done by this staff so far, and I started asking myself the right questions. Granny used to say time reveals all. She was so right. So, he chose Oregon...right? Dan Lanning...right? Of course we know Coach Samples and Phil Knight mainly got it done, along with Evan Stewart's co-sign... but in effect, he chose a coach that doesn't do it for clicks...right? Well, why the hell is this freshman reciever that hasn't played a down appearing on The Pivot, with a kid who chose the very same coach he threw stones at? Why isn't there some national outrage about Dan Lanning letting his freshman that haven't done jack 💩 parade around like he's a Buffalo... doing it for the "clicks"? Also, why would I wanna play for such a hypocrite? There are some other elements at play here that the family isn't in tune to. This kid is all about himself. He never would've fit any culture Wednesday. I'm not saying he's a bad kid... im saying he's a self-centered kid...very self contained and too many people have told this kid how good he was for way too long. Long on talent..short on humility. I'm glad Sark does things the way he does things here. I like guys investing in the work, the process. Arch and the Manning family did it right. Until he earned the right to be in front of a camera, he worked. He didn't ride on his name or what he'd done in high school. CB4 wasn't on every pod he could get on being the #1 rb in his class. Colin Simmons...good lord! I could go on and on! It's the content of the character..it matters.. and it's why Texas is finally BACK!! 🤘🏿
  20. Toche, my man🤘🏿🤷🏿‍♂️🤣
  21. Why would Tate leave now?? Besides Jerimiah..he's next.
  22. Ok... all you guys screaming about what we need in the portal. Rub the bottle... let ol' Jenny Boom Boom out the bottle, and give me a Wr transfer portal candidate. Remember your wishes... must be an upperclassmen worthy of starting, and putting Parker on the bench. This guy, whoever he was, didn't go into the portal after the season, he stayed... didn't like either the money or the regime change, and is looking for greener pastures. Speed dating... but this is your wish. Rub the bottle, and tell me which of these 4 and 5 star young guys you wanna take reps from to "assure" a championship caliber offense. May your wish be granted.... I so wanna see these responses..🤣🤷🏿‍♂️🤘🏿
  23. Did he miss last year... with X and AD?
  24. Philon would've put Harris on the bench and he would've been what he always should've been... a backup pg!
  25. RT had a team full of transfers... all one on one players... and needed some layup games for continuity.. and the injuries still derailed that. Texas invests way more into football than basketball. JT Toppin was player of the year in the Big 12... but we found a way to pay Justus Terry to leave Georgia. Apples to oranges. Instead of holding RT to such a standard.. how about those board members and the collective that didn't see fit to pay to play. We're talking about RT and BYU committed how many millions for Dybasanta next year? It's who Texas wants to represent their brand and what the folks with the money are comfortable with... when it comes to the recruits you see at Texas. That's why the kid from Carter experiment was so big. He blew it... and it turned off the important people off from going back into the hood for more talent. Keep getting soft suburban guys and we'll keep getting our 🍑 handed to us....🤘🏿🤷🏿‍♂️
