  1. RIP Chuck. I love all of the corny jokes. I used to go to a couple of the websites occasionally that compile those jokes. May have to do it again.
  2. I think Schloss may have broken out that Augie video or improvised something himself.
  3. That was not a comfortable game to sit through. Besides being fairly cool/cold and breezy in the stands, hitting was terrible and pitching was not too far behind. One hit in the first (HR by Tinney) and then one in the ninth. Pitiful. The team was not swinging the bat well and had way too many strikeouts. Pitching was mediocre. I was excited to see Kade Bing come in but he was yanked without getting anyone out. Hudson Hamilton was ok some of the time and the best overall was probably Max. There was a very good Tuesday night crowd that was supportive, but wound up being disappointed. Tarleton was ecstatic because UT is the highest rank team they have ever played and they won to boot. They did not look too bad but we should have handled them easily. We had better shape up and get some life in Auburn.
  4. Good summary. Pack has been an incredible surprise. Larson proved himself at LSU and is a good player- and despite his base running that Schloss did not like (nor did I) he is not the only one with those issues. I think benching a guy can work a lot of the time and hope it works now. Duplantier's hitting has been a surprise. It is the first time he has really shown that he could be a good hitter. I am glad for him and hope he keeps it up. He is one of my wife's favorites on the team. Monsour is a speedy guy and it seems Coach Schloss has a lot of hope for him. Let's see if they can get that bat going. Hook'em.
  5. Pitching did not hold up, but we also struck out 18 times.
  6. When Kareem Abdul Jabbar and company took on Elvin Hayes and company in the Astrodome.
  7. Those shoes probably provide excellent ankle support.
  8. Finally. Winter came in and go the final out. 11 to 9.
  9. Pitching has been slipping. Brody Walls fell apart, Hamilton in, but it is now 11 to 6 with one out.
  10. A Rod and Becerra hits. Pack grounded out and A Rod scored. 11 to 3.
  11. We have struck out 13 and walked only 2. Going to 8th.
  12. Brody Walls struck out the next 2 after replacing Walker. Going to bottom of 7th
  13. It is 10 to 3, top of the 6th. Upstate has 1 out and 2 on.
  14. RBI walk to Tinney. 9 to 3 Texas. It is raining lightly out here west of Austin and I heard some thunder a few minutes ago.
  15. I didn't play in college but remember a couple of times in high school and in pony league when an ump didn't know the rules. I was losing an argument with an ump in high school, but when my coach showed up and cited the rule the ump believed him.
  16. I think the pitching staff combined had 17 Ks and 1 BB last night.
  17. I want to see his HUDL track tape, or whatever they call it for track!
  18. Yes, and in the background is his red SS.
  19. Boy, he's not kidding around when he is on the field.
