  1. Keep up the pitching, defense, and hitting. Hook'em.
  2. We need for some of those balls to fall in and to string them together.
  3. I played softball up in the northeast when I lived up there for awhile. Some of the guys from New England did that. They started in the back of the box and ran and swung. To make it even different, most of them grunted when they swung- just like tennis players. It was one of the damnedest things I have ever seen on a field.
  4. Need to string together some hits and good baserunning. At least they are hitting the ball some.
  5. No mayo on corn dogs. That would be as bad as putting mayo on a Whataburger.
  6. Thank you OU for letting another team win the world series this year.
  7. He led the Shockers in Ks so he should definitely fit in with our hitters.
  8. Would he be able to get them back out of the portal? What I really meant was were they all going to Miss. State or was there a chance they were going somewhere else, such as Texas.
  9. That is what they said about Easton Winfield. Also, Wichita State is in the American Conference. Not a baseball powerhouse.
  10. Anybody heard whether any of the UVA portal entrants are not going to Miss. State with Brian O’Connor? UVA didn’t do well this year, but they have some good players in the portal.
  11. Looks more like a backup to me and we definitely need depth.
  12. Sorry to see him go. Not a great pitcher but he threw strikes. Good luck to him.
  13. Sad end to a great season, but a better than expected season
  14. Since SEC play started, this has not been a good hitting team and it has been carried by good pitching and timely hitting. If you check the SEC team statistics UT is in the lower half or lower third of basically every offensive statistic and at or near the top in pitching statistics. Losing Belyeu was a big loss. In that same period, most of the players’ hitting performances have gone down, particularly Gasparino and Flores. Gaspo’s average has not gone down that much because it was already down by the time SEC play started and is similar to last yearr’s, but his strikeouts have gone back up again. Flores is probably hitting about .170 since SEC play started, perhaps less. Farmer seemed to have picked up some in the latter part of the year but was not a good replacement for Belyeu and Borba has never hit for average. Jonah has been a surprise, but even he can’t replace Max at this point. With Spencer going down, the once thin pitching staff has not recovered that well. This all goes back to some of Schloss’ original comments about needing to improve the team’s depth. This great run the team has been on is a testament to his overall coaching ability and a patchwork of just enough players and timely hitting to get this far. Hook’em.
  15. A lot of bad things in that game. Not a good performance.
