  1. They may have add another 30 or 40 feet to the top of the fence save that building from more damage. 😅
  2. Thanks Jeff. I watched all of the games, and maybe all eleven this season. The team is looking good. They need to get Tinney and Borba to cut down the Ks and bring their batting averages up.
  3. Maybe some Aggie did the measurement.
  4. That was 460 something feet. Incredible. It almost made Carson Tinney’s shot over the green monster the other day seem like a mere pop fly.
  5. I hope they fix their broadcast problems. I had several issues during the UT game. Earlier I tested it during the first game of the tournament and could not get any sound. I tried it on my computer and my tv. Later it worked and a message had popped up on the screen saying that there had been no audio for the first four innings. Toward the end of our game I went to the UT website and clicked on the “listen” button for the game and got to hear Craig Way and Keith Moreland. They are so much better than most of the tv announcers. I wish I could sync the tv and radio broadcasts better so I could turn the sound down on the tv and listen to the radio broadcasts instead of the tv announcers all the time.
  6. I lived in Princeton for a while and that is a nice area. Get close to NYC or any of their bigger towns (Newark, Trenton, Camden, Jersey City, etc.) and you are better off staying away.
  7. One thing that reminds me of last year in this game is strikeouts. We struck out 11 times in only 6 innings. Fortunately, that is the only double digit game this year.
  8. That blast was a monster. That film clip says it all when you hear somebody in the background repeating "Oh my God" as it sails way over the green monster. It was a sight to see. I was surprised that the center fielder even took a few steps toward the fence. 🤣🤘
  9. We were there and Cozart looked pretty good and gave up no runs, but he did not look quite as sharp as his last outing. Overall, the pitching was good. Robbins' dinger was basically against the wind to the opposite field and still cleared by a lot. Tinney's dinger was a monster shot over the green monster in center. He absolutely crushed it. Reminded of some of the Melendez homers. I expected more from UTRGV.
  10. I see honey buns, but where are the little pecan pies? Those are a couple of my staples, as well as the sausage sticks or the sausage stick/cheese stick combo.
  11. I would race him- but with my car. We need guys that weigh over 200 and can run that fast.
  12. I used to be on the faculty of a well known university. I was not on the faculty senate, but was occasionally asked to act as a proxy for someone who could not attend. At one of the meetings they reviewed the athletic department's major sports programs and their budgets. I was shocked at how much was spent on tutors alone. I was also shocked to hear that in real life the average GPA for the basketball team was under 2.0 (it takes a 2.0 to graduate) while in the press it was routinely stated how great the basketball team was doing academically, that no one was failing, and that the graduation rate was equal to the student population in general (of course it was for those who stayed more than one year). The athletes, particularly football, get better food, better dorms if they have them for athletes, better health care, etc. None of this is new.
  13. Earl was so fun to watch. He dished it out to those trying to tackle him. He also made a lot of guys miss.
  14. I don’t think the next game will be televised, but the ones that are televised at Stanford are really second rate. They have one camera and the graphics are very primitive. I guess Stanford is a poor school.
  15. Mercy rule. 14 to 4. Monsour knocks three in with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th for a walk off down the right field line to the wall.
  16. Cozart has looked good for his stint. Going to bottom of 7.
  17. 2nd dinger for Tinney tonight. 9 to 4
  18. Craig Way and Keith Moreland on the call tonight are so much better than most of the SEC network crews.
  19. Igloo, Texas Instruments, Yeti, Fritos (not the parent company), several oil companies, . . .
