  1. Great to meet you! Welcome! 🀘🏼

  3. Impressive! 1000 career wins. Way to go Coach! Longhorn Nation loves & appreciates that you're our head baseball coach. 🀘🏽🀘🏽🀘🏽
  4. Thank Jeff! It's hard to rein in a thoroughbred.
  5. Use a VPN & choose a location like Singapore. Those pesky political ads disappear.
  6. Thanks Jeff! It's early, but Mendoza & Riojas seem to be exhibits A&B for the team's off season training & weight room work. Five games is a poor sample size, but I get the feeling that you will be discussing many of the players on the roster in the same light as these two.
  7. You are 100% right about using the WB. I should have said started with Street at the beginning of the season.
  8. Agreed about Street and the wishbone. QB's weren't used the same then as the are now. Duke Carlisle won our first natty in '64. There were a couple who played that season. Bradley was a true DB. He earned All SWC honors that year. Played something like 12 years with the Eagles afterwards. Just to clarify, we tied UH 20-20. I went to the game. Imagine 14-8 yo kids sitting in the bleachers alone while their parents sat in stadium seats today. Lost to tech, and won out. I'm a nerd about that era due to my real awakening to college football and our beloved Longhorns!
  9. Last time we played Tennessee. Happened to be my first Cotton Bowl. I was 9. My seat was in front of Tommy Nobis. He and his buds smoked the biggest cigars I'd ever seen. Had that team started the season in the wishbone, they'd probably have gone undefeated.
  10. Jim Bertelsmann replaced Gilbert. Ted Koy was in the original 1968 wishbone backfield
  11. First wishbone backfield!
  12. Hahaha, that's exactly where I was sitting when I first remember him.

  14. Thanks CJ! Looking forward to the weekly baseball show with Blake, Jeff & you!
  15. Let's not forget Emree Winston. Something about this lad that seems to say winner. We just might have a 3 headed tandem.
  16. Thanks Blake! I flew from Thailand to see the game. Best plane ticket I've ever bought! My wife thought I was nuts. Since then, we've flown over for games together. OU weekend is her favorite. Though the celebration when we joined the SEC was great for a none football game! 🀘🏼
  17. No worries, he can just introduce his brother to Nick Brooks.
  18. Merry Christmas & thanks OTF family for keeping everyone close no matter how far we're from Texas 🀘🏼
  19. Egg nog really special this year? A bit of the Irish whiskey... Merry Christmas πŸŽ„ wish I could disagree, but they are one I have tagged. Plus they have a chip on their shoulder that makes their issues with the English look like a school boys' scrum.
  20. As I recall Texas was in the top 10 prior to the UGA loss. I'm pretty sure that the UF loss was on their CFP record at that point! Don't couldn't look at my grandkids & tell them the importance of achievement & integrity making comments like the committee throws out.
  21. Your mistake is trying to understand and make sense of an Aggie decision. When entering the city limits of college station, a completely different type of analytical logic applies. Aristotle and those great thinkers that further defined it would just shake their heads and surrender.
  22. Now the UCLA coach's decision seems much clearer.
  23. Really good information! Combining Arch's growth actually the whole units growth with an off week, I expect we'll see a much more healthy, confident unit & team celebrating a Longhorn victory on my birthday.
