    Jeff, great analysis. Pouring a little salt in the wound in the wound might help it heal. This is one of the most inept performance by the entire offense side (yes, GA's you're in there too) with so much talent. DKR recognized what he had at running back & created an offense with Emery Ballard to get them all on the field. Fred Akers switched to the I so that Earl could start 6 yards deep and get full loaded by the time he hit the line. Look at how the offense evolved to fully utilize VY. Right now, I'm not seeing coaches that are putting schemes to maximize the talent we have. OU gave us a hellova blue print. Did someone lose it or are we just too hard headed? Anyway, my $0.02!

    Like I said, don't even look at or care about anything they say, since knocking down Banks to a 4* for volunteering to play RT in one of those All American games, a position he'd never played & never will.

    I think I saw Bradley's last game at QB. A tie against Houston before Street stepped in to QB the Wishbone. He was one of the last two way guys that I recall. He was a phenomenal safety. As mentioned in s previous post, his Turkey Day performance in his last regular season game stonewalled the farmers. This was back when tailgating was cold fried chicken, celery stuffed with pimento cheese & home made tamales. Dad always seemed to have a couple of beers. Sorry for being long winded. Bradley epitomized what being a Longhorn was about. 🤘🏼

    What the h***! Why would you even post this? It's loaded with the blackness & evilness from the bowels of the underworld. I was so sure we were headed to the glory of the 60's. I almost canceled my subscription 🤘🏼

    Chris Gilbert along with Ted Koy, #24, were the original HBs along with FB Worster when DKR introduced the Wishbone in '68. Gilbert's signature move was to face backwards after contact and push with his legs due to his small size. 🤘🏼

    @Jeff Howe very eye opening piece. Really highlights what the staff dealt with their first couple of years and the building process required to get us to 2025. Using the D as the example along with an earlier comment about the success of UT free agents, this really shows how poorly the prior staffs developed the players. Our improvement is a chicken and egg deal. We're getting not good recruiting classes. We're getting elite ones. With elite players , the team can continue to compete at the top of college football. We get get these players due to development. Sark, Flood, PK & Banks

    I haven't followed Rivals since the knocked a star off Banks for volunteering to play RT in one of those post season high school games where it's just all stars. He hadn't ever played the position, yet volunteers to take it on. I'll take 22 of those kind of guys on my team any day

    Talk about a benchmark. Gives a program a measure of how they're handling talent evaluation and success in obtaining the talent out of high school or portal. All 100 could have been on your board. Great at evaluating. If only a couple attended, after accounting for culture fit, perhaps you need to change how you approach obtaining the talent. I suspect, as some of the comments stated, Sark and staffed are poised for a leadership role. Thanks Bobby, quite a thought provoking piece 🤘🏼
