  1. Totally different vibe from mizzou nearly empty stadium compared with d-f
  2. I would have scored that a single and a 2 base error on Curiel
  3. Agreed. He was a big disappointment.
  4. Princeton Tiger, Columbia Lion, Yale Bulldog, that's all I have. Are they correct? I grew up on a farm not far from Princeton. If I am not right now I was then about them.
  5. Just curious - when was Rosen at Chicago? Sometime around 20-30 years ago I heard him give a guest lecture at UT and he was introduced as the Something Distiguished Professor at Boston University. When I was a freshman at Rice in 1960 I attended a guest lecture series featuring two theologians - Paul Tillich and Eugene Borowitz. Somewhere around the middle of the second night's "debate" I lost the thread. I was reminded of that experience when I listened to Rosen.
  6. Thanks. I saw part of an Xavier game early in the season and have no feel for them whatsoever. I recognized Hugley from OU but his role appeared to be their Onyema. So every tidbit of scouting you can provide is appreciated, at leastm by me.
  7. I wrote the same when CJV posted it. Now we do have to worry about Duke in the Final 4...
  8. Tyrese has an injured toe and is out. I don't know if he was injured by dribbling off it.
  9. Played out of position at Texas at shot put. Ryan Crouser. Rattlesnake quick at 6-7 and 310#. Great hops and foot speed. Three Olympic Gold medals. World Record. Never played a down. Or Power Forward, either.
  10. CSU gets an auto bid, right?
  11. Apparently there have been Big Cigars who never wanted RT, and there are fans on every website who despise him. I think a fair assessment of RT is that he is a high floor but low ceiling coach, and there is pressure to find a high ceiling coach. What RT will get from a third NCAA appearance is another HC job and a reduced buyout for Texas. He is a good enough coach to upgrade a lot of programs, given some support. He is by all accounts a fine person and I wish him well. If he is asked to remain I hope he is given a bigger NIL purse. If he is released, I hope his successor is given a bigger NIL purse. I would like to see Weaver, Pryor, Codie, Vinson, and Pope come back, regardless. Adding the right portalers and freshmen to that group could create a team with at least some semblance of togetherness from the gitgo. The "right" portalers would include at least one high quality distributor and one high quality BIG, at an absolute minimum, plus the best five remaining players available to fill the roster.
  12. At least while Moore is out try him at slot - he fits the physical model of a Sark slot who can block, catch, and run [Whitt+Moore]. Fits the heavy duty mold better than the slim guys,
  13. And perhaps his balance, as well. He is straight line fast with good hops and timing. He is an average shot. He should not be down in the inbounds corner against a press but out in the midcourt, and he has played enough ball to know that. So situational awareness on O is weak, as well, IMHO.
  14. I doubt anyone thinks Texas can win when Tre is 0 fer
  15. Tre 0 for 13 This last one was a layup
  16. Tre to Pope for a circus layup that puts Texas up one
  17. Texas swung the ball beautifully to get Kaluma an open three. Tre cross court to Larry who popped it out to Kaluma.
  18. Tre is 0 for 10 from the floor. That makes a difference in this one possession game.
  19. good passfrom Tre to Shed for a dunk
