  1. For the 2 offensive rooms that have underperformed the most (OL and WR) this year, Sark hasn't hasn't reprimanded Flood or Jackson. This is the worst blocking WR room we've had in a while and the number of drops is up there with the most in the nation this year. The OL has been discussed ad nauseam. At least demote Flood from co-OC, but to do nothing makes me feel like guys like Flood and Banks are Sark's "buddies" and untouchable.
  2. I know there was the event last night but I'm driving into Orlando this morning so missed it unfortunately. Is there any kind of Longhorn tailgate today anywhere in Orlando?
  3. McDaniel's is running a lot of the same stuff Sark is. Quinn has looked really comfortable in these last 2 games. He's gained a lot of confidence in anticipating throws especially ones in tighter windows. I'm happy for him and hopes he keeps stacking good games.
  4. Curious what everyone's YT recap looks like with all the great content OTF is putting out. Here's mine. Post yours if you got it.
  5. The Post presser looked and sounded like the same Elko after Texas. Miami pretty much did the same thing to them defensively as we did. We just waited a quarter to adjust. They got by with a super easy schedule this year. Next year, will be tough for them.
  6. The fact Cruz has not cracked the starting lineup is yet another failure on Flood either from a recruiting standpoint or a developer. He had all his eggs on Cruz given we didn't recruit any other centers the last few years. It's one of the reasons for the failure this year and might affect us next year to an extent as well if we don't get an experienced center from the portal. If Cruz turned out to be a solid player, he would have gotten his growing pains out this year and we'd be going into next year with a solid line. Now it's almost as much of a question mark as it was last off season.
  7. I thought Quinn had a good game for his first one. They didn't really give him great opportunities to get TDs since they opted to run near the goal line so statistically it didn't look great. The game got out of hand in the early 3rd qtr when the defense was getting demolished so Quinn was pressing more that resulted in some forced plays that resulted in the 2 INTs. The INTs weren't that bad too. Throwing it up on a 50/50 for Waddle is understandable and the throw across the middle was a great play by the CB. Those are solid NFL like decisions by a QB. What's funny is I thought the crazy throw to the TE was actually a bad decision. Funny how the narratives are only based on the results. Cincy doesn't have a good pass rush so that was a pretty ideal scenario for him but he looked solid. He'll have to at least throw a TD or 2 if he wants to have any chance to really contend for the starting spot, but I'm glad McDaniel is giving him opportunity to develop because these backups normally don't get that chance. Hopefully he doesn't have to play in the snow next week.
  8. That’s a shame because Niblett deserves the recognition. He significantly impacted half of our games even when they didn’t kick to him.
  9. How is Ryan Niblett not an All-American?
  10. Stratford and Swindle picked a terrible day to have the worse games of their season.
  11. Huge win if we can get Baugh in the portal.
  12. Sherrone Moore arrested tonight. Some of the stories (if they are true) are wild about what happened after he was fired. College football is just crazy now.
  13. It's going to be beautiful if Georgia shuts out Alabama. Everything's going right so far for us.
  14. I think a simple solution to how to select the playoff teams is to remove the committee all together and create a ladder point system that would rank the teams week to week (separate from the AP poll ofc). The way it could work is you only gain points if you win and the amount of points you gain is based on the quality of opponent you are playing. This system would balance out the risk/reward of scheduling tougher games. You can either gain a lot of points for a big win or get 0 points for a loss. It also would not allow teams with a soft schedule to get fewer points for wins over bad teams. The amount you win by would have no value on the amount of points you win. No more G5 teams and auto bids but instead just straight up top 12 in points move into the playoffs with the seedings in place. Conference championships could either not count because it's an extra game for only some teams or it could act as bonus points for conference winners which would all but ensure them a high ranking and a good seeding. This is system is pretty similar to the ELO system game developers use in their ladder matchmaking. It's simple, effective, transparent, and can be tracked all the way to the finish. With the number of games being such a small sample size, figuring out the quality of opponent early season would be the only thing that needs to be debated. You could still use the AP poll for this I guess since the AP poll is trying to accurately rank week to week what they believe will be the eventual rankings at the end of the year.
  15. Nobody wants that PSU job. I'm sure they're regretting the Franklin firing right about now.
  16. We still need some elite speed to create even more spacing and turn more screens into chunk plays.
  17. Darn was hoping you were doing something clever there. Hopefully we'll get a surprise tomorrow morning then. 🤞
  18. Any truth to some of the posts about Ryan William leaving Alabama for LSU? If so, any chance of us trying for him?
  19. Sark isn't Lane Kiffin.
  20. Do I see a "Hi" in your post there? Or did you not mean to do that? 😆
  21. I agree. The committee is dictating that all they care about is loss count. We already play a 9 game SEC schedule. We don't need more SOS so high profile non-conference games are just for the TV networks. You know what make us more money? Making the playoffs and winning championships and we risk that continuing the dice roll non-conference games.
  22. Zero chance. I have to see it to believe it on Tuesday. I expect to just go up 1 spot to #15.
  23. I feel like we're going to have to use Bishop's athleticism at WR more so than CB. We have so much more depth at CB while no gamechangers at WR.
  24. I fully expect us to only go up 1 spot on Tuesday's CFP ranking passing Michigan. It's clear the AP and committee after the third loss against Georgia had ruled Texas out of the playoffs. They will not take a 3 loss team if there are teams available with fewer. That's the only explanation at this point. Because it's only us that doesn't seem to be getting any credit for who we've beaten (this week's ranking is prime example). How can we not be above Vanderbilt beating them head to head, with a better SOS, and better wins? Just shows you their priority system is: 1st - number of losses 2nd - who you've lost to 3rd - who you've beaten 4th - head to head With 3rd and 4th potentially not even counting when it comes to Texas.
