When the UIL went to 2 divisions in all classifications, the districts became much more spread out. Lots of districts with a lot of long road trips. I’m old and still like the non-division, A through 6A set up with 2 teams in the playoffs. Four teams from each district is ridiculous with losing teams in and first round blowouts the norm.

Happy Birthday! Keep moving, active, and young at heart. Had an uncle that lived to 101. At 99, I caught him on the roof fixing a leak. Hope I get those genes!

I’ve always said you can judge a coach by the improvement a team makes over a season. This team is on the right trajectory now, after a rocky start. There will be some hiccups but they are moving in the right direction. This team has some deficiencies but if the play as hard as they have lately, should be fun to watch. Tanks Jeff for your work covering basketball.

While the end of the season was disappointing, dude… they won the SEC regular season championship. No easy feat. That in a transitional, new coach season.

Good sentiments by all. These message boards frequently frustrate me with all the negativity. “We suck”, “fire everyone”, etc. It has been a roller coaster of a season and I have been disappointed and frustrated at times. But watch the games, and those guys play hard and fight. I love the guys Sark is bringing in and I feel this year’s struggles will translate to more success in the future.
