  1. Sorry but playoff berths count for more than a big showing against Tech and a one great half (sadly, the first) against OU in 2021. You can’t judge an offense on a game and a half, one of which was a sorry team.
  2. Four, three, and even two. “We play too soft”, “can’t stop the run”, where’s the QB pressure” were constants until last year.
  3. Cool. Hopefully the Heisman and first pick in the 26 draft noise stops too.
  4. Funny, three years ago everyone was calling for PK’s head on a platter. Memories can get really selective.
  5. “Reality” is we’re a top ten ranked team coming off of back to back playoff appearances whose only loss was a hard fought game on the road against the defending national champs currently ranked number one.
  6. He hurt his thumb against OU and was ineffective the rest of the game which fueled their comeback. I don’t think it healed for much of the rest of the season.
  7. Belichick, until last Monday.
  8. Under appreciation? From you?
  9. Makes perfect sense coming from a guy who didn’t think we were playing backups until I listed seven on offense alone.
  10. You’re the one offering nothing regarding a likely HOF TE.
  11. More like a smelly, deep trench.
  12. We should be winning by 30+ with backups rotating in the entire second half. I don’t think I’ll sleep this week.
  13. Probably a smart move on your part. When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
  14. Such an articulate, detailed response. Brilliant!
  15. That looks credible. Enjoy your echo chamber, ace.
  16. How so? Anyone in particular?
  17. How dare he get engaged to a pop star!
  18. Probably easier to tie it to an arrest/conviction than a suspension.
  19. One thing Saban knew is your program is built every day, relentlessly. You recruit like your hair is on fire 24/7. You don’t take even a month off. You adjust as the game evolves. He didn’t hesitate to bring in Kiffin and then Sark to run the offense. He would recruit and bring in transfers over existing talent if it made the team better. He’d pull or gray shirt commits if he could upgrade. He never stopped building, for a minute.
  20. And they had a bunch of talent returning for third and fourth years in 2022 followed by them sticking around in 2023. Three first round picks who were all draft eligible the year before. DeBoer did great with what he had. But like at Fresno State he didn’t stick around long. I don’t blame him in the least, but he’s not a proven program builder.
  21. DeBoer was blessed with a senior laden UW team who all came back for one last year in 2023. He’s yet to “build a program”. It shows.
  22. Gruden would be as successful as Bellichick.
  23. It’s a long season. I’d rather start slow and finish strong. Remember “Texas…. is back” after ND in 2016?
  24. My guess is he has a couple of generations in his own family who can help him.
