  1. Ty was a really good player on some marginal teams. Shankle stepped in as a true freshman when Lance Taylor went down and never let go of the position.
  2. Mark Lang was a great unsung LB on those early 80s defenses.
  3. He wore 60 most of his career, just like Jeff Leiding.
  4. Bobby Layne was considered an excellent DB on those late 40s Texas teams.
  5. No centers here, but if you needed one my pick would be Bill Wyman followed by Lyle Sendlein and Mike Baab.

  7. When the governing body is inherently corrupt, it’s difficult to trust any call in any tournament game.
  8. Those Euro and Latam teams have way more sophisticated development than North America. We have far more options for elite athletes anyway.
  9. That I get. But no one knows exactly when it ends or how folks are notified when there’s extra time added during extra time.
  10. Somebody needs to explain the whole extra time thing, from how it’s determined to how the extra time is kept. It sure looks like a mechanism for the officials to keep their thumbs on the scale.

  16. What I remember most about Anderson as well as the RB Watson was we finally had success in the transfer portal.
