  1. This team looks much more diverse with lots of speed and several players that can take over and score on any given night. Excited to see this team bold together as a unit. Good mix of ages too.
  2. Can't wait to see this team in action.
  3. They look good but the game in Austin will tell the story.
  4. Agreed. When I watch that guy, I see a little bit of Vince Young in him but with a much lesser cast around him.
  5. Young team that will grow from their last two matches.
  6. Proud of our girls for fighting hard and almost pulling the reverse sweep. This young team has been amazing.
  7. I decided to go watch an OU game in Norman this past weekend. I had never been to their stadium. The stadium is completely enclosed and was very loud. They have their Heisman trophy winters and the Selmon Brothers statues outside the stadium. They also have a player walk-in which is a poor man's version of our Bevo Boulevard. Went to one of their most famous tailgates which was very well done. The tailgate consisted of a house that a friend of mine bought just for that purpose that is within walking distance of the stadium. In the back they had a place for a band to play live music, sitting area with TV screens to watch pregame and post-game, a bar and lots of food and drinks. They also have a vehicle they call the Schooner that will drive you and drop you off at the stadium though with close enough to walk. The stadium seats were so close together that the game was uncomfortable to watch at times despite having premium seats on the 50-yard line. My biggest complaint of the stadium was very loud pipe and music and advertising virtually the entire game, so loud you could barely hear the person sitting next to you between plays. Also, so loud that you could not hear the band at all. Was a somewhat rainy day and cantankerous crowd at times because they lost pretty handily to Ole Miss. I do not plan to ever go back though I am glad I got to see how the other side lives.
  8. He would for sure start. He played many years in the NFL at a little south of 300 pounds (~280-285), but his quickness and high motor would carry him in today's game as it did in yesterdays. Wish we had a guy like him now.
  9. Agreed. He is definitely a freak of nature but bet he has lots of injury issues because of the physics of a guy that moves like that in that long body.
  10. Bradley was a heck of a talent but ill-suited for the offense that Royal wanted to run.
  11. This wasn’t self inflicted wounds. This was getting beat up and down the field by a bad team’s defense.
  12. I saw all I needed to see last game to know Arch is going to be great. That kid fought his heart out and carried his team with toughness and shear will power. I can guarantee you that if his teammates didn’t believe in him they do now.
  13. Where am I wrong?
  14. This is a rebuilding year, we just didn’t know it until now. Yes, we have a talented team with potential, and will get better, but we are not contenders this season. New leaders must emerge and players must further develop. Our line play has much to gain. We have some solid pieces to build on for sure. Arch Manning showed us something today. Let’s recalibrate and improve in all phases. We will be much better as the year progresses. It is what it is.
  15. This is why I tend to try not overindulge in all the pregame prognostications from numerous sources and just watch the game and sit back and try my best to chill (often unsuccessfully). A finite amount of analysis is ok. I allow myself this site and limit that somewhat even. Must preserve the joy of the game. If we are really the best, we will prove it.
  16. I think he only had a partial ligament tear, and the surgeon was a minimally invasive hand surgeon I suspect, so fast healing. We will be ready for him.
  17. Kid has some wheels for second grade.
  18. Could not agree more. He knows how to team build and coach. Love what he has done to build a formidable roster here already and I think we will begin to see the difference this season. He will only build on that moving forward. He has coached numerous conference champions and has had strong success in the dance as well. I love his experience and don’t think coaching here will be too big for him at all. He knows what he is doing. Great hire.
  19. Gundy’s downfall can be directly attributable to cutting his mullet, (the Samson effect). Yep.
