  1. Two late first round picks for a generational player? No! You give that guy a max contract and keep building around him. Jerry is looking for another Hershel Walker 2.0 trade still...smh.
  2. I know they formerly paid each school 500,000 for the game and possibly part of the gate as well though I am not sure. They renegotiated things a couple of years ago and have not seen the details on that.
  3. I am now in pre-game hype "black-out" mode. No more talk. Let's get the game played and see where the chips fall.
  4. ROJO may not be the best player with that number, but he is certainly the most beloved here.
  5. This is often curable with surgery and I hope Sergio's is. General guidelines if asymptomatic: Start Colon screening at age 45 unless African American which would be age 40 if normal risk. If family history, start 10 years earlier than your family members cancer diagnosis, or 45 whichever comes earlier. Note: Would recommend colonoscopy, not the cologuard stool test as that test misses many precancerous polyps that could someday become cancerous and that is what you want to detect and remove with screening to prevent them from becoming cancer. There is a place for cologuard but it is not considered first line for screening due to its limitations. It is a sedated exam that takes on average 20 minutes to do the exam. Most places have "easy access" where you can schedule it online without a pre-op visit unless you have health issues that could effect your anesthesia risk (heart disease, lung disease, blood thinners, etc).
  6. These games provide that extra motivation to the players to work harder and prepare with full intensity coming out of the blocks.
  7. So glad it is here. Can't imagine how tough it has been for you guys trying to come up with new topics every day. Let the new season begin!
  8. Sam is pure class-> https://www.si.com/nfl/broncos/news/sam-ehlinger-preseason-finale-roster-cutdown
  9. "Better athletes"? Overall I think both teams are very athletic some better than others depending on position group. I think we will be able to run the ball if they sell out to that alignment. We also have a mobile QB and so they will be prone to the scramble if they commit everyone to pass defense, unlike last year. I think we will be OK.
  10. Jim Davis--> https://president.utexas.edu/about-president/
  11. This is a toss-up at their place. I hope we are as ready as we seem to be. Won't make or break either team's season though but would love the momentum gained by winning this game.
  12. Sorry these two had to have same number as I think they are both legends but got to go with Colt here for his time on the 40.
  13. I would but hoping we reach our ceiling. To be honest I look at next year as the year we should take it all but I am hopeful Arch and our O line can get it going on a dime and not go through the normal hiccups of a first year starter. Time will tell.
  14. I'm in the office usually before 0400 (and home by 1600). Lifelong habit of growing up the son of a farmer ;-).
  15. I like the burnt orange one with the logo the best.
  16. Unless the NCAA has the power to subpoena his banking and credit card records, this matter is closed.
  17. I place much of his performance on a very porous third string O line and half his passes that were incomplete were either drops or throw aways. Not a good sample size to base a judgment.
  18. Agree completely.
  19. Quinn was playing with their third string which affected a lot. There were no Goldens out there running routes for him and protection was lacking but he still appears to be hamstrung by his poor pocket escapism. He showed flashes but overall was a poor first outing that he can build on.
  20. Very “Quintessential” post! Thanks.
  21. It is variable on ACL surgery, but a general rule would be 9-12 months. The aspect that we do not now is reportedly other ligaments were injured as well which could make his expected recovery take longer.
  22. That would definitely change things
  23. Everyone is different after ACL surgery depending on several factors, but it generally takes 6-12 months usually closer to the latter for running backs. He is in that window and being a guy who has powerful legs and directional cuts he will retrain his muscles and gain strength and confidence back soon. The surgery is healed but it takes a while to get full strength and rom back in all the muscle groups. Suspect he will get limited reps that will increase over the first month.
