  1. Swiss cheese, turkey and Mayo
  2. Reed statistically similar to Arkansas' Taylor Green. Completes about 60% of his passes and similar athleticism and overall QB rating.
  3. Nice story. I have been a fan since the 60's. Grew up a Longhorn fan and graduated from the University as well. I was also a Notre Dame fan (Dad was a ND fan) until they beat us in the Cotton Bowl and have hated them ever since. Moved to Oklahoma and raised my family here and all my grown kids are Texas fans as well.
  4. I want us to keep winning every game and get a bye first round of the playoffs. Worst case scenario to me is if we lose this week and then A&M beats Georgia in the SEC title game. That would place a three loss A&M team with the automatic entry into the playoff and could leave a two loss Texas team on the outside looking in. Really hard to predict though as it depends on what others do. Outside of that scenario I think we are in the playoff.
  5. I think and hope you are wrong but with yesterday's upsets I think win or lose this week we probably make the playoff now that Bama and Mississippi have three losses.
  6. Your site has been getting spammed lately but looks like you deleted them.
  7. Never had an issue in Arkansas personally.
  8. Jerry would love to create a side show to distract the masses from just how bad of a job he has done.
  9. Good thing we are more physical than they are. This is not 3-4 years ago. We have the stronger guys in the trenches now.
  10. I’ve said before, as others do above, the injury really set him back but we are seeing the physical recovery now. I think he will pass Gerry’s A&M test but it’s taken time to mentally get back where he needs to be. Yes, physically he had to recover which he now fully has, but mentally he is almost there. Watching this process has also been good for Arch as his back up to see and will pay dividends in his progression in future times when he has to overcome adversity. The between the ears lessons are often the hardest.
  11. We traveled across the state to play a preseason game. We had never traveled that far and literally all ate the whole way there. We arrived only a few minutes before kickoff, got out of the bus and were all throwing up during the game and got beat by a team we should have easily handled. We had multiple future college players and a couple future pro players on our team and lost to a little scrappy country team with probably not a single guy that would have started on our team.
  12. That was amazing, my goodness.
  13. Joining you in prayers for his healing and full restoration.
  14. The only shots fired that count are the ones on the field. We will soon see who has the better team this year.
  15. I have always understood the rule to be when the snap is imminent the music must stop which is defined as when the offense breaks the huddle or in the no huddle offense when the center lines up over the ball. The big issue is not interfering with the ability to hear the signals. That goes for music, bands and artificial noise makes (but not crowd noise).
  16. 31-21 Texas
  17. Quinn being and mentally realizing he is healthy will solve all this which hopefully both are now accomplished.
  18. I see. More than anything though I was looking to joke with you on our age. I watched that game and thought it was the greatest ever at the time...until seeing the VY national championship game.
  19. Huge game but it was not at DKR. We are getting old my friend. :-)
  20. It is like the "hack a shaq" play in basketball, in a loose sort of way.
  21. This all the way. He’s coming off an oblique injury and is at risk of re-straining. Yes he was cleared to play but mentally he had to overcome that hurdle. This is the point many did not appreciate.
  22. “Texas block is just relentless “
  23. Another issue I suspect is the oblique injury rehab and risk of re-injury on maximal throws which may have factored into the play calling decision. We are really fortunate to have him back this soon and betting they are still limiting his maximal throws. If he comes out of this week with no issues then he likely goes back to his full arsenal. I have no inside knowledge, but that is what I would do if managing his injury.
  24. Blue will be fine. He got demoted for the fumbles but best ball is ahead of him . We need him as a one two punch to reach our potential.
