  1. Sark specifically mentioned D Moore during postgame conference. He said Moore had taken on more of a J Whit role to help out his teammates during this game. Ball didn’t find him this game. Love this kid.
  2. Why did this seem like ATM riding the coattails of UT in this CFB season…as if ATM was a little brother trying to gain attention because big brother UT had all the attention??? Maybe cotton holding should not have had ATM alum hosting this event—should have been neutral individual given the intense rivalry.
  3. If true this makes me sad because of what Sark’s already been through in his life. I also have to say… I hope this doesn’t distract Sark from what he needs to do.
  4. The real question is how much? There is no doubt DK Moore’s NIL bid went up at the 11th hour by Oregon. That plus marketing that made it simply too enticing for the young man to refuse. again wishing DK Moore well and hope his handlers had his best interest in mind when they convinced him to flip to Oregon.
  5. Sending this message to the recruits when they make a silent commitment to Texas, and then are inundated with rival negative recruiting…😊🤘🏼
  6. I wonder what made Arch change his mind?? Love this commercial 🤘🏼

  7. Appreciate the warning Gerry. As always appreciate the hard work you guys do. Hook’em
  8. Wow! Strong work coach Schloss and crew!! Hook’em!!!
  9. In the words of coach Choice: Texas is not for everyone. despite NIL, great program all around, best AD in the nation…sometimes a kid just wants to go somewhere far from home. Oregon sold him the yellow brick road and he bought what they were selling. finally—these young kids owe no loyalty to any coach, team or program. Theyand their managers are going to figure what’s in their best interest and go with that. time to move on from DK Moore.
  10. I watched all of the OTF interviews. What struck me about DK’s interview was although he complimented 1 WR…he also dissed another—by name. Not a good look if you’re wanting to preserve your culture in the locker room. Now fast forward to his Oregon commitment speech, it was clear DK knew he was THE Dawg with an ego to match. This kid had in his mind what he’s worth and his people were able to negotiate NIL for it at Oregon. The $$$ was worth more to him than what Texas had to offer—IMHO. Nothing wrong with that, and I wish him the best. Now I’m thinking maybe Texas dodged a bullet on this one?? 🤘🏼
  11. Why are we even asking about his NIL?? goodness. Be glad he committed to Texas and move on please.
  12. First of all these young kids don’t owe coaches or teams any kind of loyalty. Clearly money talks. Maybe Bobby and Gerry can speak to this, but it was my impression that these kids also have some sort of representation/manager to negotiate NIL. They also have family giving the kids opinions. so, given this era of NIL and Portals, I think to save ourselves some angst we have to start with believing that what the kid does is probably more important than what the kid says. I definitely learned this lesson. finally, yes Texas is probably going thru growing pains especially given this is the first year in SEC. Once the season starts, let’s see how Texas does. If we are successful, then the recruits will come.
  13. I feel at least OTF gave me a pretty good heads up on this one. Moving on…
  14. A kid looking at college wants to spread his wings a little—NIL makes it even more enticing. Year one in Austin may have been too close to home. Let’s see how Moore deals with the travel and weather in the north with a redshirt QB after Gabriel leaves. The shine of Eugene Oregon will tarnish soon enough. Good luck to him. I did not mean to revisit DK’s decision. Just saying that this could happen again, and why. Truthfully I’m a bit gunshy now and feel a bit cynical about NIL and college football recruiting in general.
  15. I think what’s hurting Texas is that DT this past season was A+. These DTs were developed by coach Davis and he’s no longer at Texas THIS is what the negative recruiting is about…(plus NIL of course but I bet this is a secondary reason)…and state of Texas doesn’t have a lot of DL prospects. and THIS is why Texas needs to have a good season with Baker to show that there was no drop off in development. So I will trust Sark. his crew, and Baker to eventually find a way to fill the need in the meantime. not gonna spend time freaking out
  16. Could this be the reason why they couldn’t keep Bo Davis? Because his recruiting wasn’t robust enough? Give Baker a chance because his delayed arrival from the NFL didn’t allow him to develop relationships/evaluate potential recruits in a timely manner IMO. I believe Sark knows what the team’s needs are and will act accordingly. So instead of worrying, I’m just going to let the season play out and see what happens…Hook’em
  17. Same here. Not feeling hopeful for Brown. But I have to consider that given Texas’s prior years, the recruits we DID get really put Texas on a national stage. (remember when we couldn’t get pass rushers?) Yes…recruit thru the whistle…but I’m also prepared to accept Texas may not be recruiting DTs for the 2025 recruiting season 😏
  18. Gerry’s manscape reads are epic. He can probably sell sac sunscreen too—if there was such a thing
  19. I really think easier path to the playoffs in the Big 10 could be a factor for Oregon and why a recruit would choose Oregon over an SEC team. Oregon will be challenged only by a few teams in the big 10 and will likely be a frequent visitor to the playoffs…which means increased chance of competing for the natty. Bigger NIL…Increased chance to be in the playoffs…competing against only the best SEC teams in the playoffs and increased chance at competing for the natty…if I was a recruit, I would find this very enticing
  20. Texas needs to change their recruiting tactics. It seems like Oregon sits back and let’s Texas do all the work evaluating prospects…waits for Texas to give offers to high value prospects…then swoops in to snipe Texas with NIL deal more than what Texas offered. It’s also as if Oregon listens the Gerry and CJ’s evaluation of recruits too and makes offers based on information gleaned by Gerry and CJ. (Now even I am sounding like a conspiracy theorist—because I just don’t understand why a recruit would find Oregon attractive given what Texas and Austin can offer)
  21. The surprise to me was Sharma chose big 10 school over SEC school. Thought he wanted to play “in the best conference “. Guess the NIL offer Oregon offered was too of good to pass up…
  22. Oregon has won out on the key recruits I. This cycle. EAS video game seems to rank Oregon higher in several categories. Other than $$$ what in the world is making Oregon attractive to recruits? (Asking for a friend)
  23. Some of the GM’s comments were pretty funny…like “he (Bonny)may be shorter than a garden gnome” and he would still be forced to select him. LOL
  24. See the first entry…it’s the GM’s press conference
