    Well unless they manage to make some serious changes, when he's on the field you know it's most likely a pass play. If it's a run play, Texas edges should be able to get to the ball carrier pretty easily.

    I watched the first few games and will not be watching again unless they get into the tournament. As you said, it's not fun to watch because it's primarily 1v1 shot creation and no semblance of an offense.

    Yep, they are holding out hope that Arch will not be good. They've been saying that since he committed with all their excuses, though we know full well if he had committed to atm that he'd be considered a football god. The tears will flow heavy once next season starts and Arch shows the world he's the real deal. And they will be delicious tears.

    Taaffe went from walk-on to not only being on scholarship but an all-American and was an integral part of a stud defense. It's not quite Freddie Steinmark but I would say he's fairly similar.

    At one of the pep rally events they had in Houston, all the coaches in attendance basically said they all pushed CDC to hire terry. It's not that CDC could be pressured into a decision, but he plays the long game, it could have been possible that was not a battle he felt was at the right time to take on. Most of cdc's moves have worked with a timeline that was beneficial to everyone, usually at the end of a contract without renewal. He hasn't really fired anyone except beard I think and that was due to circumstances outside of performance of the team.

I disagree with the those faculty actions if true. Hartzell is one of the best president's UT's had imo.

    I agree with you - feels like Arch is more willing to throw the 50/50 balls (especially deep) and let the receivers go after them.

    Their explanation of everything that's going on there makes one appreciate how complicated football is and how well Texas executed that. All eleven guys had to be on the same page and on that play, all eleven were. And all this took place in the span of about 15 seconds.

    I’ve been critical of Quinn but today wasn’t his fault, he played well. As said before, when there’s no running game, Quinn is limited because he himself is not a runner like Colt was so he can’t create anything if the passes aren’t there. Texas needs to figure out their running game woes or next week will not be fun. Texas also needs to find a kicker that is accurate stat.
