    I think the committee should just select the 12 teams by whatever means including, conference championships, AP rankings, sos, eye test, etc. Once they get 12 teams then seed and go play it off, no reseed. That means a conference champion may get left out, and people will still cry if their team is left out, but I think there would be a better chance of getting the best teams and better matchups as the playoffs go forward. BTW, no special provisions for Notre Dame.

    I Was good with a 4 team playoff, but money always wins. 8 would defiantly be better than 12, but I see no way they ever go with less than 12, probably go with 16. Given the crowd size and enthusiasm, there is just no way they get smaller.

    There used to be an all star football game with Texas vs Pennsylvania. I think Bobby Lane coached some of those Texas teams.

    Good thing they had 13 years to assemble a team for SEC grind or they might have lost all four of the last four games. They were ready for NM State.

    Marcel Reed is sacked 5 times and throws 3 picks, one of them a pick 6.

    Mack staying, Charlie Strong, or Tom Herman would never have taken the program to where it should have been. 8-4 or 9-3 with no playoffs would have been the ceiling with Old Mack and Tom. Charlie would have struggled to have a winning record. Mack needed to go, to bad it took so long to find a good coach after he left. It took getting an AD that knows what he is doing.

    Arch won't start unless Quin's ankle is really bad, but he has proven that he can come off the bench ready to go.

    This couldn't be set up any better for us. Beat aggy, knock them out of the SEC championship game, the College Football Playoff and all of this at Kyle Field. I couldn't have scripted a better ending for the regular season.

    So we have dumb fans? I tend to think of the vast majority of them as pretty knowledgeable about football. However there are a few exceptions.

    That's right, the game plan just makes no sense + poor execution = only 10 points. The defense is good.

    Curious to know what the mods think about the guys coming in a year early. Other than NIL I don't think it helped Ewers. Do you view it as an overall positive or negative for either the player or the school? I guess the really talented guys get a year head start on going to the league, and an early start on S&C and nutrition.

    I think OU has laid it down for the year. Don't think they even want to be bowl eligible.
