  1. could be true but i wash thinking of maybe a younger guy for depth reasons, as of now the room is Smith, Biles, Cryer, Spence (probably gonna split time on the edge), Atkinson, Cummings, and Okpala (edge time as well)
  2. get uvaluve and one more lb and we’re set on defense imo, maybe one more dline man and ofc coleman and oline and smothers screw it why not
  3. no need to get him when we got the raptor back
  4. @Gerry Hamilton do you think Biles and Uvaluve are must get since the LB room is paper thin? Or is there anyone else (obviously no names need to be exposed) that Texas is looking to bring in for a visit?
  5. I also want to bring up something in Cam Coleman’s recruitment. Doesn’t he want to be the number one guy? Doesn’t commuting to Bama just cause drama between him and williams?? I feel like people aren’t bringing this up at all. Forget QB play, what about Williams?
  6. @CJ Vogel any interest in Ty Haywood?
  7. https://x.com/hayesfawcett3/status/2009331498953113872?s=46&t=EKrnPRLnEaYkf2gfG_GMEg dawg what’s going on?
  8. The biggest area of improvement without a doubt from this past season has to be the line. IMO Texas needs to get two, if not, three inside guys to come in. It would be nice to get the guard from Wisconsin, maybe McBroom from ULM. Also we do have some studs that could maybe transition to the interior, like Brooks or Cojoe but I don’t see that happening. This is just a problem I want solved by the end of this portal.
  9. In all of coach Sarkisian’s time with the program i’ve never seen him be this “aggressive” you could say when it comes to making decisions in the offseason. If this is his new normal i’m excited to see what else he pulls off.
  10. Wow. Coach Kwit is gone.
  11. Fully trust Sark to bring in his replacement quick but man this one stings.
  12. I know this automatic bid is an AWFUL rule.
  13. Texas deserves to be in point blank and simple. It’s going to a shame if Alabama or Miami gets in over us. Those two teams would be dismantled by Texas. I’m confident Texas could beat any team in that playoff. I honestly think we would only be dogs to UGA, i’m not even sure about OSU or IU. Those two teams looked very beatable. JUST GET US IN! I don’t care if they put us at the 12 seed. It would be amazing to go to Eugene and beat Oregon.
  14. I think Baxter is due, dude has been banged up all season. This offseason is the perfect time to rehab everything about himself and his game. Same with Derrick Williams, I think he’s due. Guy was a stud before the injury.
  15. Okay obviously Texas is going to attack the portal this offseason, but what position do we need the most besides offensive line? Also who do you think will end up staying rather than leave to the draft? My wish is that Ant Hill stays one more year because we will sure need him but that will most likely not happen. But I think we can’t afford to lose people like Goosby and McDonald yet to the draft. I’m curious who stays.
  16. I just posted a topic talking about this, crazy world man gonna be sick when Bama gets in over us.
  17. This guy gets it!! Applause for you sir.
  18. (This is all eye test based, no mathematics are involved lol) Okay obviously Texas will most likely not get into the playoffs this season after the chaos didn't go our way, but we still just maybe might have a sliver of hope to get in after conference championship week. I know this is a shot in the dark, but say Alabama and BYU both lose next week, that virtually opens up one more at large bid assuming Virginia can beat 7-5 Duke to become ACC champions and get a bid for the playoffs. Also if Ohio State beats Indiana it would only boost our chances to be in. So, this in my opinion would be the seeding after next week, 1. OSU 2. Georgia 3. Indiana 4. Texas Tech 5. Oregon 6. A&M 7. Ole Miss 8. Oklahoma 9. Norte Dame 10. Texas 11. Virginia 12. North Texas. Some articles say even if Alabama (10-3) loses they most likely get the last nod over BYU (11-2), Miami (10-2), Vanderbilt (10-2), and Texas (9-3). In a way I can see how the committee has every right not to put us in after finishing 9-3, but like coach Sark said it would be a disservice to the sport. It would virtually mean wins and losses are the most important aspect when it comes to the playoff. Texas in my honest opinion would dog walk every team competing for the final spot. But, because they have more losses the committee and the CFB world doesn't seem to believe so. Anyways like I said it's a shot in the dark, probably wont happen. Just glad we finished the regular season on a good note and hopefully smother whoever we get scheduled to play in our bowl game. Hook'Em.
