    Definitely not shutting things down. He's having fun with the process. Everything he does, he tells Texas he's doing. So that's a positive. It's still a long way to signing day but he and his mom absolutely love Texas, love Chris Jackson, and everything he's done so far is everything he said he's going to do. Gerry reported this week he thinks Florida is actually more of a threat right now than LSU, but you know the Tigers are going to go full-court press through December.

    With Easton Royal breaking track records on Saturday night, it got me thinking about the fastest players to ever come through Texas. These were some of the first guys that came to mind.     Royal is faster but I think about Jaylen Waddle in terms of comp.

    I don't think Texas would pay either Royal or Sales Cam Coleman money out of the gate. Coleman was/is proven at the SEC level. They'll both command good money but it would be recruiting malpractice to shell out that much for HS recruits. That's not to say they can't get to that level in college though.

    As expected, Argyle WR Julian Caldwell has committed to Texas Tech. He called the Longhorns staff earlier this week to thank them for recruiting him. We don't expect him to OV Austin at this point. North Forney WR Briceson Thrower remains the top in-state WR target.

    Bigger D-end, comp him to Lance Jackson. Super athletic. Runs a 4.7. He's lost about 35 pounds since the end of his junior season.

    2027 DL from Sierra Canyon Texas, Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame and Georgia in his top group. Said Texas was in his top three after his April 18th visit.
