  1. 1980 45x as many surgeries 1990 45x as many surgeries 2000 5.6x as many surgeries 2010 1.8x as many surgeries But here is the kicker, pitchers are throwing fewer pitches now they they were in the 80s, 90s, 00s, and even 10-15 years ago. It's definitely correlation to just gassing it down the pipe and not being conditioned to throw as much.
  2. Reporting on Twitter... Who will be our next safeties coach?
  3. I hate that baseball's version of the NBA 3 point is just throwing hard as you can and hope the other team doesn't hit homeruns.
  4. In reality it hasn't gone both ways. The most shocking victory in the past 15 years for us was the Charlie Strong upset.
  5. Those two wins are against the worst OU teams since John Blake. Bob Stoops worst team would beat both of those Oklahoma teams. But to the topic at hand... I view OU as our main rival in football but in all other sports I think A&M is our bigger rival.
  6. The thing about Shaka, Strong, and RT at Texas is they aren’t good. That’s it, nobody is saying anything about coach Flo.
  7. Calling Chicago style casserole
  8. No we're clearly a better basketball program.
  9. You can have your opinions but Texas is a top 15-20 program in terms of wins. It is what it is....unfortunately we haven't had the deep tourney runs we'd have liked(thanks a lot Melo) and a loaded USC team. You looking at programs through historical lenses in the NIL era is something. Oklahoma/Alabama football are struggling right now to keep up in that era.
  10. Just a top 20 player all time, multiple all-star caliber players, etc. But sure!
  11. Indiana sounds like us during football coaching search
  12. Does anyone know the geopolitical ramifications of Chicago style vs NY style pizza?
  13. That lady that worked with the Spurs may be better suited for men’s game than women’s
  14. Hearing all the Ivey talk reminds me of all the Shanahan talk when we have a football opening
  15. Dude is a grinder and will do well recruiting on game days, camps, and OVs
  16. Before 1999 UCONN wasn't much in terms of basketball. All it takes is the right coach IMO.
  17. Was Florida a better Job before Donovan?
  18. Texas has hired that caliber of coach in most sports since CDC’s arrival. Vic is one of the highest paid women’s coaches only behind Mulkey, Geno, and Dawn if I’m not mistaken. If CDC says he can get Coach X from whatever school, opens up the Rolodex, and rounds up the money it’s doable. But I think Oats buyout is just too much(will be 10+ million)
  19. The people of Surly have broken down CDCs criteria for coaching search which is the following: Has coached at a P4 school(Big East included for basketball) Has built a program at at least one P4 school (if not 2 programs, but one does not have to be P4) Has NCAA postseason success That criteria was used and added age as well as attainability due to buyouts to the criteria. It rendered the following names: Tommy Lloyd, Arizona Mick Cronin, UCLA Dusty May, Michigan - Can be removed now due to extension but was on the initial list a few weeks ago. TJ Otzelberger, Iowa St Grant McCasland, Texas Tech Pat Kelsey, Louisville Todd Golden, Florida Brad Brownell, Clemson Chris Jans, Miss St Sean Miller, Xavier Kevin Willard, Maryland A name that Trilly Donovan has mentioned is Quin Snyder
  20. Really not a bad price because it saves you roughly 6 million on the life of the contract coupled with not having to pay Beards so that money could go to the next coaches buyout.
  21. 4.3-4.8 I think. Initial buyout on his 5 year deal was 7.2
  22. It will be around 5 million or a bit less. we didn’t have to pay Beards buyout so we should have plenty for Terry and a sitting HC buyout
  23. We should probably just fire now and start moving on to find the next coach.
  24. Why does that matter? Terry is a bad HC and this team is more talented than what they show due to coaching.
