I was bored this evening and decided to look back at the past 3 seasons' results to see how Texas stacked up against the rest of the Top 10 performers based on overall record, playoff record and final season ranking. In summary, it's impressive to see where Sark has Texas relative to the other elite programs. Not a surprise but fun to see how teams stacked up. Also, worth noting that there were 11 teams with 30 or more wins over past 3 seasons. OU and A&M both fell below that line with only 26 wins each. Most Wins over Past 3 Seasons: Oregon - 38 (Most under-achieving of all the teams in playoffs, compared to regular season results) Ohio State - 37 (Gold standard for Big10, 2 of 3 past seasons in semi-finals with National Championship in 2025) Georgia - 36 (Gold standard for SEC, 2 of 3 past seasons in semi-finals following 2 National Championships previously) Texas - 35 (Note: Only 3 teams have made semi-finals in 2 of 3 past seasons. Texas, Georgia and Ohio State) Notre Dame - 34 (1 semi-final) Ole Miss - 34 (1 semi-final) Alabama - 32 (1 semi-final) Michigan - 32 (Big drop off with S. Moore after 15 wins and National Championship in last season under Cheater Harbaugh) Indiana - 30 (Especially impressive with 27 wins past 2 seasons and 2026 National Championship in Curt Cignetti's first two seasons after only 3 wins in 2023) Miami - 30 (Big trend upward this past season into the championship game, got hot at right time) Penn St - 30 (Big drop off this past season) So, my Top 10 Best Teams over the past 3 years would be: 1) Ohio State 2) Georgia 3) Indiana* 4) Texas 5) Oregon 6) Notre Dame 7) Ole Miss 8> Alabama 9) Michigan 10) Miami Curious what others think? Agree. I prefer less preseason hype. The Ohio State game is shaping up to be a ridiculous head to head with 2 of the best QBs slinging the ball for 2 of the top 4 teams nationally in 2026 (assume ND and Georgia both in that mix as well) We’ll know soon enough how good Arch and this year’s team really is, so all these preseason polls will quickly become meaningless. All this game playing, attention seeking, narcissistic behavior by 5-stars makes me appreciate every day we have Arch Manning on campus. He could have taken this route, created social media drama, created bidding wars, etc. Instead, Arch evaluated what he was looking for in a program, coach, culture, college and city. He low-keyed his announcement in June of 2022 after Texas had a terrible season because he believed in the coach, vision and future. Never complained publicly after Quinn surprised everyone, coming back for 3rd season at Texas (fourth year in college), sitting bench for 2 straight years. When other players threaten to leave if they don’t get their immediate playing time and $$$ or they play these attention seeking games during the recruiting process despite given their ‘commitment’ to play for Texas, Arch just shows class, humility and maturity consistently one day at a time. Realize Royal is a special talent and hope he eventually joins the Horns but if not, so be it. Character and culture all day long without compromising. Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Texas currently 1.5 point favorite over UCLA. In the past few weeks, the Horns have held #3 South Carolina to 61 pts (25 below their avg) and #7 Michigan to 41 pts (42 below their avg). Given the void at PG snd C plus other potential gaps next season, will be interesting to see what Coach Vic does in the portal. Texas will be an attractive destination.

Agree. Very similar to the 1st qtr start of SEC Championship Game against South Carolina. Michigan down 18-4 with 3:06 left in first qtr. Suffocating defense by the Horns, never letting up. It’s becoming contagious. Keep that defense rolling against UCLA!!! Hook em!! 🤘🏼🐂🧡

That was an awesome win over a very good Michigan team last night. The Lady Longhorns are playing their best basketball of the season at exactly the right time. This season is also a great example of why the SEC matters. Back in January and February, Texas lost 3 of 8 games, including that 16-point loss to Vanderbilt on February 10. I remember Coach Vic challenging this team in that stretch, and it feels like that moment galvanized them. Since then, they’ve taken their defensive intensity to another level and they haven’t lost since. 🤘🏼🧡 That SEC gauntlet is paying off now. Add in a strong non-conference schedule, and Texas was built for this March run, even when the threes aren’t dropping. Think about the Lady Longhorn résumé this season: Beat #3 UCLA by 11 in November. Also beat #11 North Carolina, #13 Baylor, and #24 Richmond out of conference. In SEC play, beat #2 South Carolina twice, including a 17-point win in the SEC title game, plus wins over #10 Oklahoma, #5 LSU, #22 Tennessee, #24 Alabama, #24 Ole Miss, and #18 Kentucky twice, including a 22-point Sweet 16 win. And last night was more proof. Texas couldn’t buy a three in the first half but absolutely smothered Michigan defensively. Holding the Wolverines to 21 first-half points and winning by 36 was no fluke. This defense is relentless, and Rori Harmon sets the tone. That SEC Championship game against South Carolina still stands out. I honestly can’t remember seeing Texas come out with that kind of intensity against a top team. Five minutes in, it was obvious South Carolina was in trouble. Texas led 27-12 after the first quarter and never let up. SEC champs in Year 2 in the conference. Incredible. Way to go Coach Vic, Madison Booker, Rori Harmon, Lee, Oldacre, Carlton, and the whole team. Keep it rolling in the rematch with UCLA on Friday. Hook ’em. 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Hate to hear when anyone goes through divorce, it sucks for everyone, especially the kids. Having a great atty and strong support system makes all the difference so you can focus on being the best dad you can be. That is what matters most now.
