A few longhorns had their potential legacy moments tonight too. -Niblet will never be forgotten. -Caldwell came in and won the game, saving the program from chaos. -Emmett Mosley made his transfer a success.

Dolphins and Sark would be interesting. Coach is done there. Lots of fast athletes. Quinn… Tua… Waddle.. Sark knows these guys Say the Titans so the dolphins get interested.

IF sark was in some kind of trouble for a bad habit then getting *hired away* by the nfl would be a good exit strategy for him and Texas. Fire him for cause to avoid buyout would be terrible for Sark, and Texas has a tarnished image. If he’s hired away by the nfl then Texas remains a destination job where we don’t lose coaches to other schools. CDC already had the Beard scandal. Texas has had 2 bad football coaching hires in a row and if sark reoffended then that would make 3 in a row. Stay and win or upgrade to the nfl. Best outcomes for both. I really like Sark and hope we win with him. But hire Saban and have him talk PK into staying is a fun dream

When Caldwell came in last week and threw a pass it instantly looked different and better. I didn’t know he had come in. Same today when he had that run. It just looked smooth. It won’t happen of course because of who the Mannings are, but this Defense could manage wins with just a smooth game manager and we might have one on the bench. Just curious, is there an explanation for Wingo not having a bigger role last year? I’m excited for a breakout, but I recall Bobby singing his praises all camp last year, and he was good early against Michigan. With Bond’s struggles you might thought the young “superstar” would come on quickly. He seemed to fade. We’ve heard about the lasik, but I’m just curious if there was a reason he didn’t seem to grow in role throughout last year. Was he struggling with anything specific? Just a freshman wall?

Sark has me confident too! I think Sayin is the real crux of this game. Unless he’s a superstar they will have some troubles. 5 star QBs struggle or flat out bust all the time. Starting your first game against a hellacious pass rush and you’re not a natural runner? C’mon, anyone would have trouble let alone a wet behind the ears starter.

Maybe Mosley had some kind of procedure done this summer and didn’t tell the staff he wouldn’t be available for camp. That would probably lead to him being in the doghouse/ miss practice. Whatever the case, my expectations for Mosley this season are also “limited”. My sobriety this weekend also expected to be limited

This is exciting. I’m sure we haven’t seen the full Sark offensive experience yet. Quinn just didn’t have the consistent zip to pull off certain plays. I think there will be a lot more chunck yardage plays this seasin ala his Alabama OC years. Gonna be a fun offense to watch

Eh sounds like he’s just looking for things to write. Basically, “what if everything goes wrong”? Well if everything goes wrong then Texas probably won’t be as good as people think. Mind blowing stuff! Texas doesn’t have proven depth… umm, well who freaking does these days? Sure we don’t have proven players behind the starters at every position. This can be said about every other team in the country. It’s just one of the only flaws to chat about when it comes to Texas.

Is this normal? Starting at 1:15:43… When asked, Earley goes into detail on the struggles of one of his batters. Calls him uncomfortable, struggling, talks about his mechanics, says he’s swinging at the wrong pitches and just needs to hit a ball forward to get goin… then goes and speculates on a player’s injury but also he doesn’t know… then calls out a player *by name* saying he was out of position on a rundown play and he didn’t do it the way he’s been taught. This all just seems way too casual. A few minutes earlier he was going on about Georgia trying to steal signals. Says the Aggies don’t really have fast players to steal bases. It’s like a mini scouting report. Maybe it’s a younger coach thing, and this coach is friends with the interviewers so his guard is down. But man, I’ve never heard a coach talk about internal team stuff like this during the season. Maybe it’s normal, but seems like he’s not quite protecting his guys in some ways. -It’s very refreshing and insightful, and I hope Schloss never does this lol, even if I would like to hear why so and so is struggling at the plate. This Brauny guy wants to sound like a sharp asking about batting and pitching mechanics, but the HC seriously answering those questions with specifics seems so odd

Couple follow ups here: 1. Aggies would’ve used a lot of pitching in the losers bracket and trying to beat Texas in 2 more games. 3 games in 2 days would’ve been hard for them and given Texas a resonance chance. 2. You’re skipping past the fun speculation part.. If Texas eliminates Schloss Aggies, can CDC then fire Pierce and hire Schloss? Of course he could fire Pierce in almost any outcome other than a CWS finals appearance, BUT could CDC hire Schloss? Hindsight, Schloss is far superior, but would we as fans have accepted that? Would donors? Did CDC have the pull at that time to swing that? It’s easy to say now, and after Schloss got to the finals that it was a coup. But if Texas ruined atms season and sent Schloss to the showers, would we have hired him a month later?? I say unlikely. What say you?
