    This was what was meant by “fake money”. Most of these deals are contingency deals, I.e., if the settlement is struck down, here is your pay. These are risky deals because I guarantee you these schools are selling the fact that the settlement will get struck down.

    This was funny because I think NCAA tried to sell bad goods - they knew settlement would do the same crap as before NIL. The NCAA is just such a bad governing body.

    Right. Add into the fact that kids make decisions for 8,000,000 reasons, most of them tied directly to monetary gain. I have read numerous sites saying this new “cap era” is actually far worse than the previous no restriction era ever was. I’m curious to see the strategy going forward

    I think most of your premises are correct, but the problem is that we are either: a.) playing against guys who don’t treat the settlement as existing; or b.) able to throw a ton of money at a singular player since their roster does not require a significant retention rate (Tech).
