Also it’s Flood’s fault for trotting him out lol.
  2. JMarquette
Haha, nice. Just a disaster class by Kyle Flood.
  3. JMarquette
Now how do we fix OL?

Why do we feel the need to insert politics in every part of life? I come to the message boards to b*tch about Kyle Flood, I don’t come here to be lectured about voting. Shut up and post about Texas Athletics or Texas Athletics-related content (and don’t tell me voting is “athletics related” it’s not).

I don’t even know if it’s a strength thing, I think it’s mentality. We got a bunch of guys who want to give defenders butterfly kisses instead of guys who want to kill defenders. It’s amazing that no one has any pride in that room.

@Gerry Hamilton care to explain this graphic and how this is Arch’s fault?
  7. JMarquette
Completely backwards. Defense can manage with the injuries, they are just that good. Offense needs Wingo (and to a lesser extent Coleman) to get some juice.

Yep, no one screams QB Guru like Dan
  9. JMarquette
Idk man, arky moved on them well.

We’ve got MT3, we are so good off Baugh ✌️

I think these are fair criticisms but I also think you’re missing the point that we saw 3/4 quarters of excellent football. So I do think there is some change, but I think it’s fair to say the change has to happen faster.

That corner from UTSA, Chapman. He was awesome.

    RAT LINE.

    This is so fuc*ing funny

This is the type of sh*t that we get made fun of for - McConaughey, who isn’t a player, is writing in the Players Tribune, to tell fans that we need to basically keep the faith after our fans invested $50 million and significant time into this team. This is after our HC (who is also our OC) went around and paraded how good this team is only to have an awful offense and lose to 2 unranked teams. This is borderline insufferable.

    Ffs, it’s actually OVER!

Retaining Kyle Flood to keep Goosby another year really ended up being the worst possible outcome.
  18. JMarquette
Fair enough, but I don’t think you need an elite coach to win it all. They just have to be good enough for 1 year.
  19. JMarquette
Outside of Kirby and Cig, who is elite? You’re not going to pry away someone from success like that. Any coaching hire is going to be a gamble, there isn’t guaranteed success for any football hire. p.s. I’m not listening to any “Marcus Freeman elite” talk, the guy is Sark with some melanin.
  20. JMarquette
    @Blake Munroe Ewers price?
  21. JMarquette
CDC will get at least one more (if and when Sark goes), and I anticipate that will be a good hire.

I think it’s actually worse this year considering we have a second year starting QB, spent significant amounts of money to “upgrade” an offensive room for it to only look worse, and run back position coaches who clearly weren’t competent the previous years. Last year was the trial run, this year is the failure.

I’ll always throw in Lonesome Dove if you haven’t read it. The prequel “Dead Man’s Walk” is very good too.
  24. JMarquette
If you haven’t read Chesteron’s stuff, you’re missing out. It’s so good.

Gotten heavily back into reading in the past year or 2 and thought if there were any other books worms, maybe we start a book club?
