    *Sad Longhorn noises* I think I was trying to anti jinx us, pretending I didn’t care about any of these three falling our way. Frankly Lee was the one that bothered me, really wanted to land him with his measurables and play style. Calicut is kind of a tweener/developmental take, Simeon is not my beloved James Johnson. But Bobby & crew I think are accurate here, I’d rather land 40% against the titans of recruiting than 60% against former Big 12 foes. We need to stay big game hunting, we need monsters at every level. We need to be uncompromising, but for now I just need a drink. To landing JJ tomorrow (football) God(s)willing!

    So very confused. Meanwhile, not worried at the moment! Sark seems to stick on his primary guys and hang around the rim until NSD. I feel weird levels of zen that we’ve already heard our guy’s name, and we land a primary target in the end. Would be pretty cool if it was somehow Cooper 🤤, but I digress. And another thing! You dudes on the livestreams digress too much. If I drank every time Jeff digressed I’d be haymered on the regular.

    Also in a tough spot with RB because two of the potential “pleasant surprises” to buoy our returns are too speculative to factor now. What if we get surprising seasons, say 500 yards plus, from guys like Christian Clark or James Simon? Y’all have been outspoken on the positive Simon chatter, but who ranks that unit highly based on an unproven 18 year old?

    Y’all are being disrespectful to Heze and it flat out shows you haven’t watched his film. How many effective tight ends are effective because of their straight line speed? Are we smart people? I know a ball player when I see one, at 275 pounds Heze is damn sure a threat in the passing game. Jumbo or not. Y’all need to snap to.

    Pardon a very inarticulate assessment here, but this kid seems to have almost a magical quality to how he moves in space and sizes up his opponent’s center of gravity. Can’t coach a lot of that, very interesting film.

    I wouldn’t be so sure on the WR position, if Keelan Marion (KR/WR from BYU) lands at Texas it’ll fix a still glaring issue on the KR/PR front. We continue to hear in practice reports that we haven’t found our guy. Would not be mad at that acquisition.

    Appreciate the clarity there Jeff. For my part, I’m gonna leave the light on for the young man. Hope he maximizes his offseason and winds up contributing, he has an explosive skill set we’d love to use this season. And likewise I hope Deandre Moore takes a similar step with his consistency, kid is a burner and hard worker in the mold of old JWhitt.

I know we’ll have a lot of new faces taking center stage this year, but was reflecting on a few names we were excited to land way back when. Any chance we see these guys earn snaps on special teams, or otherwise maximize in a specialty role?: -Zina Umeozulu -Warren Roberson -Melvin Hills -Jordan Johnson-Rubell Appreciate y’all!

    I’m rewatching this ASU game and dude is thrashing ball carriers left and right. I have to believe he’ll be central to our success in stopping Henderson/Judkins, and setting the tone against OSU. Anyone else y’all can think of that needs to show up big here?
