Bear with me on my Mack story. Summer before my senior year (2004), I went to the one day camp in June. Of course, I hadn't been working out since school ended and paid for it lol. We did 40 yard sprints in DKR in the mid morning heat and I was wanting to throw up something fierce lol. As I'm bent over fighting the urge, I feel someone put their hand on my back and ask if I'm okay. I hear the voice and freeze up. It's Mack. Suddenly I'm blabbering out apologies for almost throwing up, not being brtter prepared, whatever. He interrupts me and takes me to the trainers to get hydrated. To say I'm embarassed is a huge understatement. We break for lunch and go to the bubble for position drills w the coaches (loved being coached by Bruce Chambers for a day) followed by routes on air and 1 on 1s w the qbs, running backs, and receivers vs the linebackers and secondary. At the end of the camp, us and our parents get to talk to fhe coaches and of course Mack sees me and asks me if I'm feeling better after earlier, and yeah, he does make you feel like you're fhe most important person at that time. I got to introduce him to my dad, who was probably as star struck as I was earlier that day lol. But it was a great day, one that I treasure as a lifelong Longhorn fan.
