    Texas EDGE rusher Barryn Sorrell was named the top DL on the American Team at the Senior Bowl as voted by the offensive linemen. Sorrell was the lone Longhorn in attendance at the Senior Bowl this weekend and he certainly helped raise his stock after the week of practices. I spoke briefly with Sorrell about why he decided to attend the Senior Bowl when the rest of his teammates opted out to prepare for the NFL Draft, "I have to worry about me." Quite the achievement for Sorrell who was in a loaded defensive line group which included Princely Umanmielen, Kyle Kennard, Jared Ivey and Shemar Turner.

    Manning also has a 7-figure deal with Panini which will feature him in their next set of college football cards and marketing.

    Texas QB Arch Manning has announced an NIL deal Red Bull. A rather significant NIL partnership as Manning becomes just the second college football athlete in Red Bull’s collection of athlete representatives joining Jeremiah Smith at Ohio State.

    Good effort on the road. Tough to win those games on the road in this conference. Missed free throw to tie, missed put back to go ahead and a missed three at the buzzer to tie. Texas had its chances. Encouraging loss, too many of those I will admit, but this team can battle.

    Texas has extended an offer to 2027 five-star EDGE Richie Wesley. Wesley, a 6-foot-5-inch, 250-pound edge rusher, attends Sierra Canyon in California and is currently ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the country in the early composite returns. The Longhorns become the 18th school to extend Wesley an offer as the Texas staff continue their five-star search on the recruiting trail at the moment.     Sorrell is great and typically will talk to whoever for as long as is asked of him. One thing I will always appreciate about him while I covered him. Funny you ask, because there are times where, and especially in the offseason, players will see me at an event or camp and there be a look of surprise that we made the trip. There's a mutual respect in there.
