  1. It is a happy day in the office of Vic Schaefer in Austin, Texas. Five-star Aaliyah Crump, the No. 5 overall player in the 2025 class, has signed with the Longhorns. Crump was a member of the 2023 USA Women's National U16 Team where she averaged 9.0 PPG and 3.8 RPG. Crump also led Minnetonka (MN) High to a 28–2 record, en route to a 4A State Championship where she scored 23 points in the championship game. Quite the addition to Schaefer's program. Plus, the Longhorns are continuing to work to add Aaliyah Chavez as well.
  2. Bralan Womack Hudl from this season: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/16251071/67197a7a665431ffefdff858
  3. Womack and Steve Sarkisian on his visit from July 25.
  4. A quick pair of recruiting nuggets for the Longhorns stemming from the secondary. To echo our Gerry Hamilton, Texas is in a really strong spot for Wiregrass Ranch (Tampa, FL) CB Graceson Littleton after his official visit this weekend in Austin. Littleton is expected to make a decision soon per a source. Following the weekend, things are looking positively for the Longhorns to add a second cornerback to the class. *** Additionally, I mentioned this on the Recruiting Breakdown yesterday afternoon, but wanted to reiterate – the plan for now is 2026 five-star defensive back Bralan Womack will be in Austin for the Kentucky game November 23. Womack, out of Flowood, Mississippi, is a top-30 ranked player by the 247Sports Composite rankings early on in the 2026 class and was offered by the Longhorns July 25th when he visited for the Pool Bash. With Zelus Hicks now reclassified to the 2025 class, Womack allows for Texas to return to big game hunting in the defensive back position for the 2026 class.
  5. Recognition for Michael Taaffe
  6. Jahdae Barron is a Thorpe Award semi-finalist.
  7. The offensive line has rebounded since the UGA game and has been listed to the Joe Moore Award semi-finalist watchlist.
  8. QB Quinn Ewers has been named to the Maxwell Award semi-finalist list.
  9. DB Jahdae Barron and LB Anthony Hill Jr. named to the Bednarik Award semi-finalist list.
  10. Several Longhorns have positioned themselves to be in contention for postseason awards following the first nine games of the 2024 regular season. Will use this thread as the official tracker for hardware watch lists.
  11. Yep. Former five-star Dante Moore is QB2 and Austin Novosad, a really talented CenTex QB prospect is in waiting at QB3. They are more than fine at QB.
  12. Texas has three wide receivers committed in the 2025 class at the moment, three really good wide receivers at that. However, I received word that the Longhorns are continuing to work on Oregon commit Dakorien Moore. A flip of the Ducks WR commit would be difficult and I am told it would be rather unlikely, however, it is worth mentioning that the phone is still being picked up for now. Moore committed to Oregon on July 4 and has been firm since then. Right now, this just remains something to monitor.
  13. Kentucky is bad. No real attraction between the two schools, I don't hate the time.
  14. Sarkisian says OT Trevor Goosby has a "really really bright future" thanks to his measurables and intense internal drive. Credits Kyle Flood and Torre Becton for aiding his development since arriving on campus.
  15. Sarkisian on Trey Moore's impact: "He garners attention." Moore does a great job running games off the edge (twists/stunts). Sark praises his awareness level and IQ on the field. Versatility was mentioned several times for the Longhorn EDGE.
  16. Sarkisian says one of the worst things you can do on the road, especially in a rivalry game, is to play emotionally.
  17. Sarkisian says the No. 1 stat in football is turnover margin. The team has an emphasis on winning the turnover margin and being the best in the country for the 2nd half of the season.
  18. Sarkisian says RB Jerrick Gibson has a football on him all day throughout The 40 Acres after fumbling on Saturday.
  19. Jaydon Blue said after the game this was the healthiest he has been all season. "When your fast guys get to play fast, that's your strength." Sarkisian lists off about 8 different offensive players he believes have elite speed.
  20. Texas had 11 players on the roster vs. Arkansas in 2021. Nine of them are starters now.
