    As long as Justus Terry is in burnt orange, this one makes little sense. Breaux weighs about 275-280 pounds. Can't have too many of those guys on your DL and Terry already has sky high expectations.

    That's where the scouting department earns their big bucks. It's easy to go P4 to P4, but there are always gems from the lower level. I always prefer the bigger school prospects.

    Just for context – Was passed up this year and played just 18 snaps after 790 in 2024. Earned a redshirt as a result of seeing just one game up this year. Had 9 PBU and 0 INT in 2024 as a starter.

    There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positional transfer. That means I am not recruiting a LT to come fill the LG spot. This is the biggest chance to maximize the window of Arch Manning. Make the most of it with sure-fire transfers, not projects or potential pieces.

    There will be bigger fish. On top of that, White only listed at 5’7” is a reason for hesitancy.

    A name that was thrown out last year after Texas hired Chad Scott. White missed the majority of 2025 due to injury, but had been an electrifying option at WVU in 2024. IF Texas opts to take 2 backs, depending on the decision of Wisner, I could see this being an option. Shoot, even in a Niblett-esque role, I could see this being an option.

    I think he sticks at edge mostly. He’s better going forward. Smith and Lefau provide a very sturdy base at the position. The ceiling comes with Barnes and Atkinson.

    I’d agree with @TexasFanatic Dont think you need an all conference level guy at linebacker, but certainly not a developmental piece. Kentucky LB Landyn Watson fits what I would target right now. Just someone who can give you 10-20 quality snaps and could step in as a starter should someone go down. I’m looking for a David Gbenda level role to be filled at LB out of the portal.
