  1. We are basically in a playoff to be in the playoffs . One loss and out.
  2. It’s not THAT we lost it’s in the how we lost. That score was not indicative of the game. Talent is one thing but we’re flat out, undeniably, unprepared for the game.
  3. Lots and lots of common taters this morning reveling in Texas issues. OU will be perfect to see what these guys mentally are made of.
  4. All true. Worried about that game though was not worried about Florida as much as concerned Texas just doesn’t have it.
  5. I think we will go 7-5, possibly being eternally optimistic. Anyway, Inam with a few on the portal and to what was a glaring need in the OL and hat went unaddressed. Really needed a couple of interior guys. Overall, for today , we had no fire in the belly. Do not know why as we knew this team with near equal talent was going to be playing all out. We acted like this was another bad Sam Houston.
  6. Tulsa or not he deserved better than mid season firing. I don’t care for him publicly but I think he earned a little more respect.
  7. Is any of the run blocking issues within the 20’s play design?
  8. No pressure. Should be a fun team to watch.
  9. Confidence is the issue since everything is fine in practice. You start getting some praise and the crowd roars after a good run, confidence overall builds. Haynes is a bit better runner but not by a ton. Arch has a much stronger arm. He can be Haynes on steroids given some success.
  10. I don’t know but I personally set too high of expectations for our OL it seems. I really wished/expected/hoped that we would be year in and out a top 10 to top 4 OL. Not individually as being drafted but as a cohesive effective unit.
  11. The first throw did indeed look like a yip. No question, although even great baseball pitchers throw wild pitches from time to time. The thing is he did not continue that through the end, he got better. Overall I think it was more the respective game plans and preparation, which I said would be the key to winning. On the plus side this game provided a ton of film study for both Arch and Sark. Arch will have a great stat day Saturday and we will hear from outsiders things like sure he can do that against SJState but not the big boys. A can't win scenario as for that PR if he or anyone should concern themselves with it. It will be Florida and OU that will change minds (all except those with Arch Derangment Syndrome)
  12. Road game, SEC. Tough game, expect it.
  13. I had a different opinion before the game. I wasn’t sold on our defense against OhioState. Had hoped we could hold them to 420 yards or so. I also did not see any ability for us to run the ball. I was extremely pleased with the D and our run game. Two heavyweights being played on the road, sure would have wanted to win but damn, we basically made mistakes that kept us from winning. These can be fixed .
  14. Longhorn fan since 1963 and Texas beating Navy in the Cotton Bowl. I became a 100% commited orange blood when our HS QB went to Austin and won a national title.
