3rd Quarter Play Calling was "All Gas, No BRAINS". Who is the playcaller? OP made some great points. With a 21-point lead to start the 2nd half, running time off the clock is ideal. Even better, you score. Our OL was moving Ole Miss's D when we put hat on hat. Cojoe and Sikorsky looked like road graders out there. We had a 6-play 80 yard drive in 4th Quarter using that strategy. Ole Miss was NOT worn out from 3rd Quarter TOP. IMHO the 3rd quarter let-down is totally on the playcaller.

In my business experience, employees would try to do what they LIKED to do versus what we DIRECTED them to do. Part of management was to keep employees on task with what we directed and needed them to do. In-game, Sark is so busy calling offensive plays that he can't focus on the overall game strategy and decisions. IMHO, Sark as OC cannot continue next year. We have history and it is not good. 1. Did anyone on the sidelines consider our success rate over last 2 (3, 4) years running the ball on 3rd or 4th and short? 2. Why didn't somebody, anybody, call time out to discuss the merits of going for it? 3. The play call - running out of shotgun with "light" running back. Arch should have called time out, trotted over to the sidelines and asked "...are you sure this is the right call?" 4. The result - gave Gators plenty of momentum going into halftime, and Gators receive 2nd half kick-off. 5. There was very little upside even if we make it. 6. This bone-head decision is 100% on Sark.

During yesterday's (1/4/2025) Coffee and Football video, Bobby said that Sark doen't run short passes over the middle to stay away from tipped ball interceptions. Questions: Doesn't this take away 1/4 to 1/2 of the width of the field in the 1 to 10-15 yards downfield of the line of scrimmage? My pea-brain says that this reduces a tremendous potential coverage area for opposing LBs and DBs. (KC Chiefs sure seem to run a lot of plays like this.) Could this be a fertile area for 2-4 receivers crossing with potential to rub off (pick) a defender, run receivers at different depths, put more stress on defense. OTF commentators talk about "breaking tendencies" - maybe we will see a shift against tOSU? Hook'em.
