  1. Refreshing how the young man prioritizes his long term pro career as well as long term financial opportunities versus short term gains.
  2. They're basically treating JMU's schedule the same as Texas or Vandys SEC schedule. That's just wrong on so many levels. The system is essentially broken.
  3. Not just less than Tech. A lot less than UT as well. Just look at recruiting rankings.
  4. I don't understand why the media (TV especially) don't apply more pressure on the committee to change the selection process. Nobody can't be interested and will watch a szoozefest like Oregon trashing JMU. Tulane might get lucky with OLe Miss being handicapped offensively but otherwise this also wouldn't be much of a contest. That's 2 out of 4 games in the first round (presumably) not drawing great viewership/ratings. How can they be happy with the current system?
  5. Well he could have stopped running up the score.
  6. It's almost too bad. Texas needs ATM to be overranked and over-valued. Even if they somehow manage to pull this one out, SC gave the Horns great data points.
  7. South Carolina is trying REALLY hard to give this game away. So frustrating to watch. Come on!
  8. The refs were unbelievably bad with the holds all game long - and the PI on Mosley and the BS 2pt conversion being the worst calls. This should have never been a close game. Unreal how the refs influenced the outcome. Glad Pavia and Vandy were taken a peg down. Not a likeable team at all. They kept yapping after every play despite getting dominated for more than 3 quarters. I will be actively routing against them from now on.
  9. Think I'm going to sit this one out. Not sure I could stomach another pathetic offensive effort like yesterday (and FL and UTEP) before I lose all respect.
  10. Buying an at least solid but proven 4th-6th year senior QB appears to be the new "road to glory" strategy as we can see this year. Rinse and repeat every single year. Would that be a model for Texas as well since the developmental route the Horns have taken thus far has not produced the desired results?
  11. I'm okay with it. We've got a log jam at WR as it is and only one guy could potentially leave after this season. We already have 3 other guys committed at WR - meaning the room will get even more crowded. And if they really think we're going to need another difference maker for 2026, we can always go portal.
  12. This is a huge get! He's got all it takes to be a future star at LT. Very exciting about him committing to the good guys. Hook'em John and welcome to the 40. 🤘
  13. @Gerry Are you saying we're going to need some Vodka today? 😉
  14. Georgia being completely out? That's surprising.👀
  15. I would dog the SOS of every team playing an FCS school so that mid and upper tier P4 schools (especially the ones with playoff ambitions) would really think hard about playing one (or even more!) FCS patsies on the schedule. Until that happens, schools like A&M will always take the easy way to another W.
  16. Why would Beard leave his cushy, 5 mill a year, "no crazy expectations" Job at Ole Miss for the Aggies and their overinflated ego? He can sit back and wait until a true Tier 1 job (Kansas, NC) becomes open.
  17. Texas: over and going 10:2 potential losses @Florida (early in the season for offense to gel) and @Georgia (our cryptonite team) Aggies: under with 5 losses to the good guys, @Notre Dame, @South Caroline, @LSU and hopefully @Arkansas (they're due a win) If they somehow manage to squeak out a win in Fayetteville like they always did the last couple years - it's because they already feel the pressure from losing to Florida at home the week before. 🤭 Choklahoma: over with losses to Texas, @South Carolina, @Tennessee and @Alabama
  18. Ups that didn't go as planned. 🫣 Of course they could have known it wasn't Tech by listening to OTF.
  19. This was awkward to watch. Even her own family didn't appear to be excited and she had to tell them to cheer along with the silenced audience. I think its a strange decision from a marketing perspective but I guess everyone is entitled to his/her own priorities.
  20. Too bad about Sydir. I really thought he was coming on the last couple games. Things getting dicey on the interior DL with regards to numbers alone.
  21. Wow! THat's incredibly impressive. Good luck to the young man not only for his football but also his academic career. I get the feeling he's well prepared to work as hard as he can.
  22. Does Texas still get in with a close loss to A&M over let's say Indiana and their 106th ranked SOS? I think strenght of schedule should actually play a much bigger role and teams ought to be rewarded for playing strong out of conference opponents instead of FCS cupcakes.
  23. If one or all of Ethan Burke, Cam Williams or DJ Campbell have a great season and receive a first (or even second) round grade - do you see them leaving school?
