  1. Essentially, yes. This is the case.
  2. He didn’t enter the portal. He declared for the draft.
  3. That's what makes the struggles Texas had in the early portion of the portal frustrating for me. It's not just one thing. It's a case-by-case basis on the misses. The other dynamic is that Florida and Michigan have new coaches. Texas targeted guys that both schools didn't want to lose.
  4. I don't know, Coop, what do you think is more plausible: That nobody on an 85-man person squad attended a party thrown by the captain? Or could it be that when the cops got to the place and realized that Sark's boys had done nothing wrong, decided not to take down any of the players' names because they didn't want to jam up a bunch of good kids for doing nothing? No, wait a minute... Your theory seems right. Arch Manning... Arch Manning hasn't got any friends. Good luck with the portal today!
  5. I don’t know about tackle heavy, but those guys are higher priorities than interior linemen and there was a rush to get in line to get them when the portal opened.
  6. I’ll enforce my no-trade clause.
  7. Offensive line intel has been kept under lock and key. It would be foolish to not have a contingency plan and I believe Texas has one. We just don’t know who, what or when.
  8. We knew what the plan was when the portal opened. What none of us knows is what the backup plan will be. That’s where I’m at right now. After striking out on its top OL targets, I’m willing to wait and see what the counterpunch is before rendering a verdict. Let’s see if the staff can pull the nose up.
  9. I’ll take the blame for the lack of a game thread. I got tied up with something for YouTube channel and then was on the livestream with Bobby and CJ. As of now, I’m still trying to find time to watch the game, which will be my punishment for not putting up the thread.
  10. Venables needs all the help he can get since his offense has scored as many touchdowns as I have against Texas the last two years.
  11. Your question was valid, Osas. Regardless of the muck, I, for one, appreciate any feedback meant to enhance the user experience. Whenever I’ve worked with Bobby and Gerry in the past, we’ve always tried to listen to our members. We might not be able to make something happen, but the suggestion box is always open.
  12. I’m backing a co-worker who works his tail off because I saw someone hurl an unprovoked insult at him on a message board in which he didn’t participate. You went to Texas and I didn’t. That’s a fact I can’t deny. I’m not sure what my education has to do with anything, but no, I didn’t graduate from Texas. But it doesn’t give the right to be a jerk on the message board when nobody in this thread brought up the topic of Henry Kissinger until you did for the purpose of insulting a staff member. You didn’t just insult him. You doubled down when there was no need to do so. I’m done discussing it. Again, if you have an issue with Matt, take it up with and don’t take it public. I will stand up for my team members when I feel they’re being unjustly insulted. It shouldn’t take a master’s degree from Texas to understand how to act like a grown up on a public forum.
  13. Holding a master’s degree from anywhere doesn’t allow a free pass to hurl insults at people. If your problem is with Matthew, take it up with him directly.
  14. You’re correct. The expectation of civility applies to everyone who uses the message board.
  15. Any further posts in this thread that don’t directly address site content, something topical to Texas athletics or are legitimate questions/concerns for the OTF staff will be deleted.
  16. You’re entitled to your opinion, and there’s never going to be a consensus on members here who like/value/respect every single staff member. However, such talk toward Producer Matt is something I won’t tolerate. If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t have the channel that we do and the content we produce wouldn’t be produced. Again, you can feel however you choose, but I won’t stand for an important piece of the puzzle at OTF to be spoken of on our platform in the way you did.
  17. That’s one of the things I liked about him most in 2024. If there was an opportunity to throw hands, he didn’t miss it!
  18. The special teams bonanza continues for the Texas Longhorns! Florida State punter Mac Chiumento has committed to Texas. He made the announcement with a post on his Instagram account. Chiumento was the Seminoles‘ 2025 Special Teams MVP. He averaged 44 yards per punt on 27 punts, with six of 50 or more yards, 13 downed inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and one touchback.
  19. Lance St. Louis is one of those losses you don’t think about because the snapping situation has been out of sight, out of mind since he took over.
  20. He recently came off IR and is getting snaps at right tackle for the Eagles against Washington today. Congrats to the Lifetime Longhorn for making his NFL debut!
  21. McMahon got a good look at a three to tie it, but it hits the side of the rim. Texas hangs on for a 67-64 win. The Longhorns are 17-0 overall and 2-0 in the SEC.
  22. 0.2 seconds put back on the clock.
  23. Rori missed both. Ole Miss ball with 0.5 seconds left.
  24. Texas got the ball in and Rori heads to the line with one second left.
