  1. End of 2: Texas 0, Houston Christian 0
  2. A defensive swing by Borba results in a ground ball to first. He's retired and the Longhorns go down in order in the second.
  3. Rodriguez grounds out to short. One down. And as I typed that, Flores gets retired in foul territory.
  4. Rodriguez, Flores and Borba are due up in the second.
  5. Saunier induces an infield popout to end the top of the second. HCU strands a pair as we head to a scoreless bottom of the second.
  6. I'm being told that this was the plan: for Walker to go through the HCU order once before making it a bullpen game. That was the plan for Tennessee, but Walker was on a roll and, obviously, Texas wasn't too concerned with the outcome in Hoover.
  7. Borba slips trying to get to a slow roller. It's a single for Halligan and that ends the day for Walker. Schloss is going with Grayson Saunier.
  8. Leiterman chops one back to the mound and is retired at first base. HCU with a runner on second and two outs.
  9. 17 and Grayson Saunier is up in the bullpen.
  10. It's a 15-pitch inning and counting for Walker.
  11. The Huskies have a runner on base. Walker couldn't quite get to Bard's ground ball and Flores couldn't run up on it in time to make that play at first. It's scored as a single.
  12. You appreciate a pitcher who can field his position. Walker retires Hendricks after a competitive AB.
  13. End of 1: Texas 0, Houston Christian 0
  14. The call is confirmed. A 9-2 double play gets HCU out of the jam and abruptly ends the bottom of the second for Texas.
  15. Good throw by Tevis Payne, regardless.
  16. Mendoza broke for home on a liner to right by Schuessler. He's thrown out at home on a double play, but we've got a conference between the umpires.
  17. Seemed from up here like Max had trouble picking up the breaking ball in that AB.
  18. Belyeu got jammed and dribbled one between the plate and the mound. It effectively works like a sacrifice. He's retired on a 1-3 groundout, but there are runners in scoring position for Schuessler.
  19. Galvan draws a walk. Only five of Edwards' first 11 pitches have been strikes.
  20. Mendoza did a really good job of staying alive with two strikes. He's on base after taking one in the shoulder.
  21. You ain't lyin. 10-2 lead for the Pirates in the top of the sixth.
  22. Mendoza, Galvan and Belyeu are due up in the home half.
