  1. Hamilton grooved one and McClure made him pay.
  2. McClure crushes the first pitch he sees from Hamilton over the wall in right. Two-run home run gives UTSA the early lead, 2-0.
  3. Taussig draws a walk. One on, one out for McClure.
  4. Lytle gives it a ride to right, but Belyeu snags it on the warning track in front of the bullpen for an out.
  5. Yes. It's a dead ball when it hits the batter, even on a wild pitch. If he had just swung through, the run would've counted and Texas would still be batting with the lead.
  6. The call is overturned. It's a strikeout by Rodriguez. The Longhorns leave two on base in the top of the first.
  7. Rodriguez strikes out, but he makes it to first and Mendoza scores on a wild pitch. For now, it's a 1-0 lead for the Longhorns.
  8. If nothing else, they're making Brown use a lot of pitches. No. 17 is coming up.
  9. Schuessler is retired in foul territory down the first-base side. Two away for Adrian Rodriguez.
  10. Ground ball up the middle by Belyeu after Galvan singles through the left side. Galvan is retired at second base, but Belyeu reaches on the fielder's choice. It's first and third with one out for Schuessler.
  11. Schloss said Galvan was one of several players who got IV fluids between games. Technically while the game was still going since Galvan was lifted for Cole Chamberlain in the sixth.
  12. Mendoza went 3-for-5 with a double in the win over K-State.
  13. Mendoza gets things started with a single up the middle.
  14. Brown fires a first-pitch strike to Ethan Mendoza and we're off and running with the nightcap.
  15. Righty Gunnar Brown is the starter for UTSA. He's 3-2 with a 7.85 ERA. This is his fourth start of the season.
  16. FWIW, IF (and I stress, IF) Texas wins tonight, TV for a regional championship tomorrow hasn't been determined by ESPN.
  17. Texas is the designated road team again for this one.

  19. Hudson Hamilton went 3.2 innings, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out four against Houston Christian on Friday. He picked up his second save of the season against the Huskies.
