  1. Thanks for joining us. You won’t be disappointed!
  2. Same starting rotation this weekend as last weekend: Friday - Max Grubbs (3.61) Saturday - Ace Whitehead (3.32) Sunday - LBJ (5.03)
  3. And, as I said on C&F this morning... this is a big weekend for a number of reasons: 1. Texas tied for third in the Big 12 and is only three games behind. 2. OU is first in the Big 12. 3. Texas RPI is No. 66 at the moment. They need to improve that. This weekend will allow for that to happen as OU is No. 18 in RPI. Obviously this team is aware of that. 4. OU also has a chance to host this postseason, so a series win for them would be huge here too.
  4. Meant to use this on my baseball segment of Coffee and Football and I forgot, but here's the latest projection from D1Baseball.com:
  5. Sounds like he will even ride the bus with the team to the stadium, but just can't be involved in game activities tonight. And yes, rain all day tomorrow!
  6. The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books with two Horns taken and more to go over the course of the weekend. Let’s talk about that, recruiting, the portal and much more this morning. Join us beginning at 8 AM.
  7. No worries! It sucks for Texas this year lol.
  8. I double checked with a source just to be 100% sure…. Coach Pierce can be with them during the week, just not the first game tomorrow in Norman!
  9. Good stuff. Going to try and remember to ask in the morning for sure. @Bobby Burton & @Gerry Hamilton remind me please 🙂
  10. This is correct. Bobby and Gerry have discussed it on Coffee and Football the past few days. No takes from the SEC during the spring portal window due to them having to sit out a season because of conference rules.
  11. Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on this. Out of all the Horns who will hear their name called this weekend, who do you think will have the best NFL career?
  12. So I was reading this article on the “25 Best Rivalries in College Football” (link below) and they listed OU-Texas as….. 17. Obviously I don’t agree and that was the only Texas game listed on there. But it got me thinking, what’s your favorite rivalry game from a non-Texas standpoint and why? https://cfbselect.com/2024/04/25/25-best-rivalry-trophies-in-college-football/
  13. We're talking SEC starting quarterbacks today.
  14. Good morning yall! Get the coffee brewing and join us for Coffee and Football beginning at 8 AM. We will be talking all about the Longhorns and taking your questions.
  15. If you want to start your day the right way, then join us for Coffee and Football beginning at 8 AM. We will be discussing the Longhorns and answering your questions!
  16. Join us at 8 AM for Coffee and Football, as we discuss the latest with the Longhorns. Portal news, recruiting, team discussion and much more.
  17. Chris Cornell did the best version of that song. Nothing compares to it.
  18. Join us at 8 AM and let’s talk the spring game, recruiting, the portal and much more. We will be taking your questions to, so get those in!
  19. Some good notes here for Texas, OU and A&M in case you didn’t get to see all the spring games on Saturday. I’ll post the Texas part here but the rest is in the link. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-spring-game-standouts-takeaways-usc-offense-sputters-notre-dame-qb-cj-carr-impresses/ Arch Manning dazzles Manning had barely thrown a pass in a Texasuniform coming into the spring game after working as the third-string quarterback in 2023. It only took one pass attempt to get the crowd on its feet. Manning stepped up in the pocket and found receiver DeAndre Moore for a 75-yard touchdown, throwing the ball 50 yards through the air. The nephew of Peyton and Eli looked every bit the part of a No. 1 overall recruit, completing 19-of-25 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns. Coach Steve Sarkisian has repeatedly insisted that the quarterback battle is not open, but Texas fans should feel excited about the future at the position with Quinn Ewers, Manning and impressive freshman Trey Owens running the show.
  20. If it’s a sure fire “dude” then I have no problem with it. There’s not a ton of those just waiting to be picked up this early. And if you go all in that early and manage to hold that class together… better hope it pans out. Man recruiting sure has changed. I remember breaking Lorenzo Joe’s commitment to Texas and it was such a huge deal. Not because he was an elite prospect, but because he offered before his junior season started. It was a really, really big deal.
  21. I know Miami took a quick look here but passed. At least he found him a home… beautiful scenery too.
