  2. I think that account just tweets what they get from media members and message boards. Nothing wrong with that, but I don’t think they have insider knowledge. I could be wrong. 🤷‍♂️
  3. Former high school coaches such as Texas Tech's Joey McGuire and UTSA's Jeff Traylor believe a June Signing Day benefits both recruits and college programs. College lifers such as Texas's Steve Sarkisian, Texas A&M's Mike Elko and North Texas's Eric Morris, however, are opposed. “I think last year, the high school player was not protected, where the signing date was in the middle of December and the portal opened and some schools were dropping high school kids because they were taking the portal kid,” Sarkisian said. “I think now, we’re still protecting the high school kid in early December and then we can get ourselves into the portal.” Read the full story here: https://www.texasfootball.com/article/2024/07/30/fbs-coaches-in-texas-are-divided-on-potential-june-signing-day
  4. Glad you guys enjoyed it. We will have to get some of the assistant coaches on next!
  5. Not sure what that’s about. No commitments have happened or anything.
  6. The Longhorns have added New Mexico State to their 2027 football schedule. Texas will play the NMSU Aggies on September 4th, 2027 and it will be the season opener for both schools. Through a public records request, FBSSchedules.com was able to confirm the game and also confirmed that Texas will pay New Mexico State 1.6 million for the matchup. The Longhorns last played NMSU in 2013, where they won 56-7. Texas will also host both Michigan and UTEP in the following weeks.

  9. That's beautiful. I'm jealous!

  13. Regarding Colorado: it’s some family homecoming weekend thing. That’s why they’re high. Ohio state/Mich: someone said they aren’t on sale yet? I’m not for sure on that one.
  14. The Longhorns baseball program has hired Mason McRae as the Director of Analytics. McRae previously served as an Assistant in Amateur Scouting for the Boston Red Sox. Prior to his stop in Beantown, McRae served as the Director of Analyitcs at William and Mary and was also a scout for the Chicago Cubs organization.
  15. As we count the hours down to the first practice, there’s now better time to join us for Coffee and Football. Show starts at 8 AM and Gerry Hamilton, Bob Shipley and I will be talking all about the Longhorns.
  16. In a season when Texas and Oklahoma will get a taste of the SEC and BYU and Utah will enjoy joint membership in the Big 12, there’s a reminder of the costs and investment going into big boy college football these days. https://www.deseret.com/sports/2024/07/28/college-football-arm-race-extensive-financial-resources/

  18. It’s authenticated already. That’s why that silver sticker is on the front! I think they also have a big one in Waco as well. If I remember correctly. You need to get it graded my man! That’s awesome! What’s the back story?? Great story! And something you’ll remember forever. Hall was a stud in HS. I am too young but I remember seeing his name all over the record books. Great stuff!
  19. That’s what makes this stuff so great. Everyone has their favorites and why they’re near and dear to your heart! That’s sick!!!! I love it. All awesome items. I had a Nolan auto ball when I was a kid but it’s long gone. I do have this… damnnnnn. Post it up! Let’s see it! I love the old Bowman’s man. They’re my favorite.
  20. Post pics! We need to see this. That’s a hell of a collection. My bobble head > their autos. The first thing you listed is way better than any sports memorabilia. That’s priceless! But the second one is very cool too. Hell yeah! Texas jersey or Houston?
