  1. We are 33 days away from Texas opening their season against Ohio State in Columbus. Who is your favorite No. 33 to play for the Longhorns? Some options today include… Priest Holmes Edwin Simmons D’Onta Foreman
  2. Coffee and Football is the place to be starting at 8:15 AM. We will bring you the latest Longhorns news and take your questions.
  3. Here’s what Cowboys HC Coach Brian Schottenheimer had to say about former Texas RB Jaydon Blue: "Yeah, the speed, the dynamic playmaking ability. I think he's a dual-threat guy. I think you can hand him the ball. He doesn't need a lot of space to make people miss, and his acceleration is uncanny. I mean, his ability to get to top speed is unique," Schottenheimer said. "He's just, he's such a talented young man. But what I like is the professionalism that he's shown at this camp.“ "I think it's one of those things where, like, he's here and he's like, 'Okay, I think it's kind of go time. I have my little bit of learning curve in the off-season program and all this new language.' You gotta remember these guys, they rarely hear play calls in the huddle. They get signals, and they're going fast. And so I think he's much more comfortable with what we're doing. So you're seeing him play faster, freer, and more confident." https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news/brian-schottenheimer-raves-about-talent-professionalism-dallas-cowboys-rookie

  7. We’ll continue to track it over the next 34 days.
  8. I’m with you on this one, but you never know!
  9. You’re sharing with the class when you win, right?
  10. We’re down to just 34 days before the Horns take on the Buckeyes…. Not even asking the question today, despite the title. Ricky. It’s Ricky Williams.
  11. Played last year against ULM and UTSA! (WR Rett Andersen for those unaware)
  12. This morning I’ve been doing research on the betting side of things for Texas/Ohio State. Here are the betting statistics for the big season opener: - The public sides with the Horns on both the spread (65% of the money) and outright winner (a whopping 96% of the money). - The game is the most bet, by total money wagered, for all Week 1 games. - The matchup is the second most bet game, by number of bets, for Week 1, falling behind Alabama/FSU. - Both teams are the betting favorites (+550) to win the CFP. 19.5% of the total money is on Texas to win it all, while 8.7% is on Ohio State. - The Longhorns are responsible for 12.5% of all tickets to win the CFP, compared to 9.2% for the Buckeyes. - The largest bet on Texas to win the CFP is currently $300,000, which would pay $1.5 million. This is also the largest reported bet for a team to win the CFP, period.
  13. "There's nobody who's able to cut like Bijan in the NFL," Barkley said for the NFL Top 100 countdown. "There's not. You can go argue with your mom about that, I'll be honest. Trust me -- I love myself and I think I have great cuts, and there's nobody. The way he's able to -- his vision, his agility and he can catch the ball, too. So it's gonna get scary for a lot of people as he continues to figure it out." 14. Also a shoutout to Edwin Freeman, the linebacker out of Arlington Bowie. He was one of my favorite recruits to cover.
  15. Gotta mention this guy when talking 35 at Texas…even if it is basketball!
  16. We are down to just 35 days before the season opener in Columbus. Which Texas player that donned No. 35 over the years is your favorite? An option today includes… Jim Bertelsen Bertelsen was a standout tailback during the wishbone era from 1969 to 1971. He played a key role in Texas’ success, including the 1969 and 1970 national championships, rushing for 2,510 yards and 33 touchdowns over his college career. Known for his speed and versatility, he was a two-time All-Southwest Conference selection and later played in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams.
  17. Never heard of the second one, but I enjoy the other three… I’ll have to check that out.
  18. Oh I disagree with a lot he says, including his rankings. I was just pointing out that the graphic title is misleading in the sense of he personally doesn’t necessarily think Heupel is better than Smart or Sark, for example.
  19. That graphic is misleading. His rankings aren’t “the top coaches in college football”. They are coaches vs expectations rankings. If you want to learn more, scroll down in this article and he explains it… https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45739570/ranking-best-college-football-coaches-last-20-years
  20. There’s no way I can post the thing here, but this is worth a read. From Bill Connelly: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45807129/2025-sec-college-football-projections-preview
  21. Checking this and many more recommendations y’all made out tonight!
