  1. On the last touchdown drive, Arch using his legs and finding guys off schedule was working well. We should roll Arch more to give the threat of his legs to get guys open. This offense is boring.
  2. It's Baker who gets flagged all the time, I don't think Goosby gets called much. I think he got called once for holding his game.
  3. Who are the starting O-line moving forward? How do we maximize this offense? Whatever gets us playing fast and loose with purpose would be nice.
  4. I agree. Our offense has no identity, and there's no rhythm. Everything is difficult, and I don't know if it's the line, Arch refusing to check down, receivers not getting open, the play calling, etc. There's too many leaks, and I don't know how you plug them all up moving forward. However, inexcusable that our defense could not record a sack all game. We kept getting beat out on the edges. We just came out flat on all sides of the ball.
  5. I was expecting an elite edge rush unit this year, and it's been mixed at best.
  6. It's definitely a head scratcher. Imagine if we would have recovered the fumble on that first play, this game is completely different. When the ball bounced right back to the receiver, I knew we were in trouble.
  7. 31-3, Texas
  8. Jeff Traylor's job if he wants it?
  9. That's what I'm saying.
  10. If Gundy gets canned, would it be a good idea to bring him in as an Offensive Analyst next year? If anything, he can help those transitioning to 40-hood.
  11. Just want to see Arch making good decisions, reads, and throwing on time. Give me 45-0, Texas.
  12. I know this may sound silly, but going out there with a smile on your face while you're playing is helpful. Take in the moment, look at your teammates and friends, and just take it all in. Arch gets to do something most people don't have the ability to do, which is be the quarterback for the University of Texas. That's special, and once he internalizes that the faster he'll get over this slump. Also, meditation helps. Clear your mind, thinking about the past is a recipe for depression and thinking about the future is a recipe for anxiety. Be in the moment and enjoy it.
  13. Maybe a speedy receiver?
  14. Maybe his grandfather did know best and wants Arch to stay for 3 years. It's going to get worse before it gets better, but this is what's best for Arch and this team in the long run. Lots of people were so quick to move on from Ewers last year, and now they are ready to move on from Arch. What if we move on from Arch and it doesn't get better? Get another coach? We really have to take our medicine and hopefully support Arch enough so that he starts playing like he did last year.
  15. I've been saying it since OSU: Arch has the yips. When the team sees their QB not being able to complete a pass that he makes in practice in his sleep, everyone loses confidence and everyone starts pressing. Looks like the defense has figured it out, even though our pass rush has been head scratching. This offense will keep looking like this as long as Arch doesn't connect his head to his body when the lights come on. He needs a sports psychiatrist more than a coach right now, which is a terrible spot to be because he has to navigate through this in real time when everyone is watching.
  16. There's no way his family would let him play if he was hurt. He has the yips and he just has to play through it. Until he can get out there and feels like he can perform, we have to keep with whatever offense was trotted out today.
  17. It would be nice to give Arch a little cushion, but yes he needs to exorcise some demons.
  18. We're all underwhelmed and disappointed, so I'm just going to adjust expectations since they were so lofty this past off-season. Serious question to the OTF crew, are we being vanilla on purpose or are we just this bland on offense because we need time to cook? I hope it's the former, but why are we still being vanilla? Why not bust out the playbook? Sark is losing the fans at this point.
  19. Of course UTEP came ready to play, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Texas was supposed to get right this game and we came away looking for answers. Sark needs to right the ship and in a hurry.
  20. Are you worried about other people worrying about Arch now?
