  1. Bri and Addison are tall, strong ballers that are highly skilled. Couple these forwards with the girl from Luxembourg, playing for IMG, is a trio of forwards we have not seen on the 40 acres.
  2. Bri Crittendon, Addison Bjorn, and Lizzy Spaight are on the West team. So next year's team will have a roster of McDonald's All Americans. Jordan Lee, Aaliyah Crump, Justice Carlton, Breya Cunningham and Madison Booker round this elite group!! Eight out of our 13 girls! Amazing. Great job Coach Vic and staff.
  3. All these shows remind me of my first marriage. We didn't miss many. We had no kids. I was a high school teacher and baseball coach, my wife was working her way up the corporate ladder. Mainly great times. We were too young and stupid not to weather the storm. One of my biggest regrets to this day.
  4. So glad Crump is back. We need that 3 point shooter. Lee can drive but for some reason her 3 point shot has been off for four games now. Coach rarely benches her.
  5. I would like to see her replace Lee in the starting lineup.
  6. 67-53 Horns at the end of the 3rd quarter.
  7. Lee can't find her 3 point shot.
  8. Oh no, Booker just got hurt. Doesn't look good.
  9. That should have been a T on the Gator coach. She almost bumped the ref.
  10. 19-16 end of quarter 1. Shaq's daughter is killing us.
  11. Lee is trying so hard to get out of her slump that she's not helping the team.
  12. It's time to move Crump in for Lee.
  13. I have spent the afternoon watching videos of our five incoming recruits. What an incoming class!! All five are amazing.
  14. Lizzy Spaight, the other incoming point guard is a Rori Harmon clone. She, too, can hit the outside shot but can penetrate and pass the ball to the open shooter. We are going to be loaded next year. Isi Etute our other recruit is a forward playing at IMG Academy; she is a big, strong girl that will battle on the boards like Karl Malone. She's from Luxembourg. Coach Vic has tireless recruiters on his staff.
  15. Amalia Holguin, incoming guard next year, and the last and youngest of Kobe's Mamba Team out of Newport, (still in high school) hit for 61 points for Senior Day! She is a great outside shooter. Has an amazing handle and part of the #1 recruiting class in the country.
  16. We are finally at full max health capacity. Coach can go 12 deep. The return of Aaliyah Crump brings more offensive fire power to the court. Rori was more offensive minded last game as her midrange jumper is deadly. She still rarely shoots the 3. Jordan Lee has been in a three game shooting slump and we really need her to get back on it. At Coach Vic's recent presser, he was not happy discussing the lack of our three point shooting. It struck a nerve. He also said that the big girls, especially Oldacre, need the ball more in the paint. He loves the team, sees they are very good, but lack toughness at times which challenges him to coach better. He said Ashton Judd and Rori were the only consistent tough girls on the team. I foresee a drubbing of the Gators this evening. Hook'em!
  17. I know CDC is giving his state of the union soon, but I have a few suggestions. I really think we need a women's gymnastics team. It's time. He could time implementation with the new Volleyball facility and the meets can be held there too. Secondly, we need to remodel the McComb's softball stadium. Just a complete do-over. It has those quirky spires and it just doesn't look nice. With our success, we need to be better in that area. Finally, what can be done about the new end zone with preferred seating? It's looks awful during gamedays. Surely, he can figure it out. Those are my two cents. Thoughts?
  18. He came from Oregon to Texas. Ran a 4.3 at his pro day. Impressive. He grew up in Dana Point, which is a gorgeous town on the ocean.
  19. I am 68 and remember watching the very first Super Bowl. However, I rarely watch the NBA or MLB. Interestingly, about 8 years ago, I got into women's basketball. I love it. Especially my Longhorn girls. But I love the WNBA too. I go to a few Valkyries games in San Francisco. I follow all of the girls on IG, and our recruits, and have had a few conversations with a few of them. They are always appreciative of the fan support. One of the player's dads is really cool and we message each other before the games.
  20. ...who would have predicted he would make his name on Special Teams. He already has two tackles in the game. Denver is full of Longhorns.
  21. Remember, Arch has wheels and moves well within the pocket, plus the running backs are not dancers. They are darters! Big difference.
