The average season record of CWS winners is around 55-15. Still lots of ball to play.

    Never believe preseason rankings

How much eye black can you use before it becomes makeup?

Yep, likely another Johnny Football trajectory.

That's the kind of play that doesn't show up in the stats but wins championships.

Trisha Ford is great. Met her when my daughter attended a couple of camps at Stanford. Really nice person and solid coach. Hate that she's at 8&4.

That's the one thing I hated about GusBall. Everyone knew Gus would make them take until they threw a strike. Good pitchers would sail an 85mph meatball right down the middle. Automatically started behind in the count. It was torture.

Feels like we should be up by 8 after the 7th.

The umpire likes the bottom front edge of the zone but that was pretty generous.

Drinking game for pharma commercials. One shot for every side effect that includes vision changes.

Looks like Texas fans outnumber UH fans 5 to 1. Like the grassy knoll down RF line.

Here's an interesting WSJ article: "While home runs continue to soar out of stadiums at near-record levels, doubles and triples are disappearing from the sport at an alarming rate. Games in 2025 featured an average of just 3.19 doubles, the fewest in an uninterrupted campaign since 1992. Nearly 800 two-baggers have vanished from the game over the course of this decade." https://www.wsj.com/sports/baseball/mlb-baseball-opening-day-triples-a5c30f00?st=bjmAEK&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

    Never any doubt. Routine win.
