Injury Update (10:33am) - From the Field
Maybe Bobby meant Wingo.

Saturday - Three Probable
Bobby, since Mizzou's wheelhouse is running the football and not passing, is the loss of Simmons in this game less of a blow since the other DEs are really good at setting the edge and stopping the run, especially Spence?

OTF watch with us tonight: Landen Williams-Callis vs. Friendswood
LWC almost had 200 yards against South Oak Cliff and Aldine Westfield, the two best defenses in the State. He's an impossible task for High School defenses to bottle up for 4 quarters.

52 years in the making
I didn't know Northbrook was in the Spring Branch ISD. Come to think of it, I remember SBISD closing Spring Branch High School (the alma mater of Texas' All-American running back Chris Gilbert) and opening Northbrook and Spring Woods High Schools. They are only a few miles apart from each other.

Yep, it looks like the only steam looks to be the teachers association and my antivirus flagged it.

Malachi Toney Rumors
Must be that kind of arthroscopic micro-surgery like Mateer had last year on his thumb. A high ankle sprain is a tear in a ligament. I've never heard of operating on a ligament in the leg and someone coming back to play in just a few weeks. Most are lost for the season.

Hockey in Austin? The NHL is exploring expansion to Austin (or Houston) in the next 4 years.
The Aeros had great support in the NHL minor leagues. They lost the franchise because of a dispute between the Rockets owner and the Aeros owner. Something about the Toyota center lease. It wasn't because of lack of fan support. Houston always loses franchises over stadium issues. Would LOVE to see the Aeros come back in the NHL.
