Thanks, I've never heard of him. I agree about Banks and Flood, and I would throw Milwee in there as well. Sark needs new blood on that side of the ball. I would start with the best OC/QB-coach I could find, and then together I would hire a new OL, TE, and ST coaches.

Who was Joe DeCamillis? Also, how much of an effect can analysts really have on a team? Don't you think the position coaches and the head coach have more influence on the team than analysts do? Isn't the main problem Banks and Sark's refusal to hold his coaching friends accountable for their position players? I've been watching the Saban series, and one thing I've learned about his famous "process" is that he held everyone responsible for everything, from the players to the equipment boys. He was friendly, but he didn't make friends. He held everyone accountable, not for the final score, but for how they accomplished each task and each play, in and out of the game. The sloppiness and lack of awareness on this team would have driven him nuts. This is ultimately on Sark, don't you think? Sark likes to talk about "culture," but that is a macro term. When you aim too wide, you miss wide; you miss the failed micro steps that led to the miss. That reminds me of the line Mel Gibson says to his sons in the movie "The Patriot": "aim small; miss small!" I think that goes back to Saban's "process," where you take accountability and responsibility for every small detail in your program, and you demand that same responsibility and accountability from everyone on your staff and on your team. I don't think we are getting that from Sark, and maybe not from CDC, since he isn't holding Sark accountable.

Like I thought, just conspiratorial rumor mongering. And Saban did not admit to cheating in that documentary. Quite the contrary. He said the NIL money and the portal tampering made coaching and recruiting more difficult and he didn't want to deal with that. That was a pretty plain and simple statement he made. No super-secrets hiding behind his words or between his sentences. If you have real evidence, then present it. We might all believe you if we saw it.

I HOPE he does the right thing after this season. I think a lot depends on how the rest of the season plays out. If he fails to make the playoffs, I don't see how CDC can let him do nothing and expect things to get better. That would mean CDC is pulling a Deloss Dodds and not telling the king he's naked. I don't see CDC as that type of AD. It's obvious Sark has a reality problem, and he needs positive intervention from a superior outside his direct circle. I'm hoping CDC is that type of AD.

Sark is not going anywhere because he has the potential to be a great HC. He just has to become the CEO and hire a competent staff. He still has the same OL, TE, and QB coach he started with, and their production has been mediocre at best. It's up to CDC to convince him that he needs to make changes before he is run off in a few years.

I agree. This is the problem. Sark needs to fire himself as OC, his QB coach, his OL coach, and his TE/OT. Clean house. Be the HC. Hire a top-5 OC and QB whisperer and let him help you pick your OL coach and TE coach. You have a really good RB and WR coach, so keep them, but clean house everywhere else on the offensive staff. They ain't getting it done. Don't be Fred Akers or Mack Brown and get yourself fired because you wait too long to make a changes.

Sark firing PK was a joke. What a huge scapegoat for refusing to admit where the real problems are. Muschamp's defense is just marginally better, but our offense and special teams are regressing and Sark had his head under the pillow.
